I love that people get it. This journey of sisterhood these women are on. Things, people change. Some trajectories are slow and some, fast. I still can’t believe I had the honour of doing this again. It’s #InternationalCoffeeDay, so here’s the recipe for @nescafericoffy milk tart. My family loves it, I hope yours loves it too. Pastry: 2 cups flour 1 egg ½ cup sugar 2 tsp baking powder 125g butter pinch of salt Filling: 4 ½ cups milk 2 ½ tbsp cornflour 2 heaped spoons of @nescafericoffy. 1 cup sugar 3 eggs pinch of salt 2 ½ tbsp flour 1 tsp vanilla essence a big spoon of butter We bake: Pastry: Cream the butter and sugar together then add the egg and beat well. Add the rest of the ingredients – making a stiff dough. Press the dough into a round cake dish/tin. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 180°C until light brown. Take out and leave to cool. Filling: Bring milk, and 2 healed spoons of @nescafericoffy, to a gentle boil. Beat eggs and sugar then sift flour, cornflour and salt together. Mix well. Pour boiling milk coffee into the mixture, and stir gently. Return to stove and stir for 10 minutes on medium heat. Allow the mixture to thicken then add butter and vanilla essence, and mix well. Pour thickened mixture onto baked pastry. Allow complete to cool in the fridge Ground @nescafericoffy and cinnamon together. Then sprinkle on top. Then, serve♥️. #MomentsOfPride

It’s the little things like, making a cup of coffee, for my husband, in the morning. Or making the kids’ favorite milk tart, with a dollop of @nescafericoffy...and I stand there and take it all in.
