Don’t forget to drink your water and get some sun. You’re basically a houseplant with more complicated emotions. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Talking about emotions - mental health awareness day has just passed us, that being said here are a few simple β€œcheck in” questions to check on someone’s mental health: 1. How are you feeling today? Really? Physically and mentally. 2. What’s taking up most of your headspace right now? 3. What was your last full meal? Are you drinking enough water? 4. What have you been doing for exercise? 5. What did you do today that made you feel good? 6. What’s something you can do today that would be good for you? 7. How have you been sleeping? 8. What’s something you’re looking forward to in the next few days? 9. What’s something we can do together this week? Even if we’re apart. 10. What are you grateful for right now? . . . Tag a friend, share post and save to spread mental health awareness.

Dinner date with the toddlers - are you brave enough ? β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”- LOL. Hectic. . . . So the bestie and I had breakfast plans, which turned into dinner plans because SOMEBODIES sleeping pattern is upside down. Our nanny is only home with us until 2, that meant I had to cart the kids with us. LOL LOL LOL. Hectic. . . The only TWO tips I can give you is: 1. FIND AN EMPTY PLACE SO THAT YOUR CHILDREN CAN BE FREEEEE. That’s my only tip because who can really control a curious toddler and a baby who just figured out how to walk? Im listening . I’ll wait. And 2. KEEP CALM and SHUT EVERYONE ELSE OUT. Babies cry, kick, mess and want to run around. Don’t expect them to behave and sit still at the table the entire time you’re out. That’s just unrealistic expectations. I am hoping though, the more I take them out - the more they get the hang of it. Hopefully I have table trained kids by like 5. Or is that wishful thinking? Also, people without kids, I know kids can be so annoying especially when it’s not your own but moms in public with their babies are really trying. Try not to get too annoyed. Instead, wave or make a funny face at the baby. Give an understanding smile to the mom. She’s probably so flustered. You’d make her whole day. . . . Do you take your kids along to such places? How do your kids behave? Thoughts ...??

She Believed she could Sushi Did πŸ£πŸ‘€. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”- If this pandemic never happened this version of who you are right now would have never existed. . . I know we keep saying β€œCorona ruined everything” but did it really ? I look at my friends and I see them on completely different paths than what they planned. I’ve seen doors open for people and I’ve seen them happier than what they were before. I’ve crossed paths with people I probably would have never even met if this Pandemic didn’t happen. I see people thriving, new business ventures, new jobs, new goals, thriving in relationships. I see people slowly down. Reflecting, and bettering themselves. This pandemic has forced us to slow down. To think. To give us time to go after what we want. To spend time with family, making us all closer. . . There is so much truth in the saying β€œyou will get far better than what you have lost” . . β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”- What is something positive COVID-19 brought to you ...?

I think I’ve stopped for so long because it actually takes its toll on me - emotionally lol. . . β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” What are some topics you’d like to touch on or speak more about? So far we’ve got: 1. Extended breastfeeding 2. Stress of planning a wedding and where to draw the line with in-laws 3. Kids and routines. 4. Spicing up Marriage 5. In-laws.

COVID-19 - SO CLOSE TO HOME. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”- The past few weeks have been stressful - to say the least. Mahers entire household caught COVID-19, one after the other. . . If you follow me, you know that we visit, every. Single. Day - and we did visit the day before we got the text message that his dad and brother tested positive. Everyone else then went to get tested and all popped up negative but within a week everyone else started showing symptoms and tested positive . Alhamdulilah we have tested negative - even though we’ve been spending time. . . They’ve turned the house into a Quarantine house - it’s been nearly 3 weeks now and Alhamdulilah everyone seems to be recovering - even his Old, sickly, immune compromised parents. Alhamdulilah Alhamdulilah. . . Symptoms: Really bad Headache, sweats and chills. Fever. Loss of taste and smell. Body ache. Extreme fatigue. Sore chest. Alhamdulilah his niece doesn’t have any symptoms. . . We went to drop off some foood them, left it at the door , waved to his parents (who quarantined in different rooms) had to be sanitized by his brother in-law and left. Swipe to see - how sad 😭😭😭. . . . Gosh, this virus just came and literally changed everyones world as they once knew it . It will probably still be a little while before we can go visit again and go back to β€œnormal” but I can’t wait. It’s been so sad to see Haya have to zoom call her cousins . This has definitely been an eye opener, not only for us to realize how much precaution we need to take but it’s also opened our eyes to hope. It’s given us the feeling of hope, to see everyone recover. . . Stay safe guys and please keep us all in your prayersπŸ’•. . β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Have you been affected by COVID-19 or know someone who has been? What’s your experience ?

DONT GET MARRIED BEFORE: 1. Talk about DEBT 2. FULLY and WILLINGLY committing to one another. No "im not sure" and "what if's" and "its not the right time." you are either in or you're OUT 3. When/how many kids yall want (adoption? are one of you infertile? etc.) 4. Talking about STDs. Get checked. Seek medical help/informed professional knowledge. Keep those tests up to date and find ways to do so even within the marriage. 5. Talk about your 5-10 year timeline regarding career/education. Can you move? Willingness to relocate? etc. 6. Levels of religiosity. Openness to growth? Lack Thereof? Do you share fundamental CORE beliefs about life? VERY important. 7. Anger managements issues: do one of you struggle? Are you in therapy for it/taking it out on others? Seek help, bc it will destruct you and the future and the children. 8. Energy. Does it match? You decide. Follow your gut. 10. Sexual compatibility. Not going to go into details, but yall need to be on the same playing field. Consent wise, willingness to try things, traumas, etc... figure it out 11. Finances: how do you intend on splitting bills? Gender roles? Taking the parents in during old age? etc. 12. Age doesn’t matter too much. In my experience it’s about the person & what their world views are. If you are young, make sure the person you’re with will allow you to keep growing at your own pace and in your own way. 13. Opposite gender boundaries. Set what’s okay. What’s not. Hugs/handshakes/etc. I know it sounds tribal & trust should be there but you’d be surprised what people’s boundaries are. Better to know than not know 14. Social media: believe it or not, people WILL break up over this. Some prefer privacy. Some not. Get on the same page. 15. I mentioned this before, but SAVINGS. How much do y’all have earned & combined? How much is your intended salaries? Is it sustainable? Apartment? House? speak futuristically if it’s not smthing u can afford right now. Get on the same page 16. What is cheating? Entanglements? Define your breaks? Breakups? Etc. 17. Physical and verbal abuse: what is & isn’t considered abusive language & decorum? Seek help, please. Professionals can step In.

So blessedπŸ’•. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” I really really really enjoy days like these. Even with everything going on (will get to that in a later post) Today was just ... soooo nice ! . . Maher home, cleaning the garden together - we had to throw away all our balls from our ball pit because summer turned them into biscuits. Yeah, They literally broke to pieces when we touched them. We Swam. We Showered. We Ate. Went for a drive. So calm yet so productive and filled my heart up because not only did I kept to do something fun with the kids but we spent some real good family time. . Please swipe and watch little Miss Haya🀣. I can’t deal with her, she is just too funny for words. . . β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”- Hows Your Sunday Doin ?!
