when you wake up & it’s victory Monday ✊🏼🏈✊🏽 #riseup
game day morning looks a little different today and I’m so here for it 🌊🏈 RISETFUP
@rockiquattrocki snapped this of mom, myself and my girls and I love it, but I really wish she was in it too. the good news is that we have a few more days to make that happen (+ Luca) 🤍 🌊
a moment I’ve been waiting for since the ultrasound tech said “it’s a boy” five years ago 🤍 thumbs up and rise up for daddy! 🏈 also, there’s a 10/10 chance this will be the best picture we will take today— so, sinks, trash cans and all, here we go.
🏈 GAME DAY OREO DIP 🏈 ⠀ ⠀ WHAT YOU NEED: ⠀ 1 8oz package of cream cheese ⠀ 1/2 cup butter, softened ⠀ 1 cup whipped cream ⠀ 1 cup powdered sugar ⠀ 2 Tbsp brown sugar ⠀ 1 tsp vanilla extract ⠀ 2 cups crushed Oreos ⠀ ⠀ **if serving to group, double above recipe. ⠀ ⠀ WHAT TO DO: ⠀ Using a stand mixer (handheld works too), beat butter & cream cheese until fluffy. Next, add whipped cream, sugars and vanilla, beat until smooth. Stir in Oreos by hand. Serve with mini Oreos, vanilla wafers, graham crackers, strawberries, you can get super creative or you can eat it with a spoon. I won’t judge! ⠀ ⠀ The mama in me just has to say— be sure to brush your teeth really good after this 😬 and while you’re at it, make sure to grab Crest Gum Detoxify for $1 off at @publix! Sale runs through 10/14 🤍 @proctergamble RISE UP!
I played a (kind of?) fun little game on my IG stories today where I left a box for people to send in their “assumptions” of me. I didn’t really have any expectations of how it would go, or what people would submit, but I went for it anyway. Some have been so right and others couldn’t be more wrong... but, that’s the thing about assumptions— you know the saying. One in particular was so so spot on, and I’ll share it here: “you once dreamed of a very different life for yourself, but reality turned out to be quite magical.” and the whole entire answer to that is: YES, yes, i did and YES, yes, it did 🌙🌞🌟 that’s just the thing about life— we can think we know what’s best for ourselves and we can think we’ve dreamed up the biggest and best plans and then if we just learn to trust and love ourselves, have lots & lots of faith, keep doing the work and don’t throw in the towel when it gets tough (again and again and again), it turns out to be more magical than anything we could’ve ever dreamed up.
an entire Saturday and one hundred and eighty five steps later— thanks to my Mom the kids now have their very own seaside cottage 🤍 “Luca, sit down here. I make dinner for you!”
we work hard for her rolls 🍼 & she wears them oh so well 🤍 #motherhood
R snapped this picture on my story and one of my best friends messaged saying “in your element” and I just have to say, I couldn’t agree more & I also don’t ever want to forget it. In order to build the life of our dreams we have to take notice of the moments that we feel most “ourselves” and then work to create more & more of them. This right here, this is one of those moments for me. Our sweet, sweet, Luna Rose. #motherhood

can you feel her fierce-ness through your screen? 🌪 she’s been giving me a real run for my money and causing me to at times question if I am cut out for this role. I know that I am & I also know that strong children make strong adults, but lawddd, her strength is unmatched. I was expressing my feelings (read: tears were bubbling in my eyes as I was talking about what a trial it’s been with Leni as of lately) with a trusted friend the other day & hours later she dropped a book at my house. In that book I read something that brought me peace & I want to share it with you— just in case you have a three year old in your life or you’re wondering if you’re doing this whole motherhood thing right. If you want your children to succeed, show them how to fail. If you want them to be happy, show them how to be sad. If you want them to have much, show them how to enjoy little. Parents who hide failure, deny loss, and berate themselves for weakness, have nothing to teach their children. But parents who reveal themselves, in all of their humanness, become heroes. For children look to these parents and learn to love themselves. 🤍 #motherhood
one minute you run out for a quick sushi date with your husband and the next minute you’re spending days in a hospital. I know it’s clichè to say, but 2020 has truly reiterated how quickly life can change and how important it is to be grateful for every moment. Luca is okay, we are home now 🙏🏼 thanking God (& all of Luca’s angels) 🦋.
