Why does this Monday feel like it’s lasting 3 whole years? 🙃
I’m so excited to be trialling @natureboxbeauty Almond Oil Hair range with @beauty_bulletin for the next few weeks! I’ve been making an effort recently to be more conscious of the products that I choose, which is why I love that this range is vegan, cruelty free and sulphate free. The hair range comprises of: - a sulphate free, silicone free shampoo - a silicone free conditioner - a silicone free Insta lift- up spray All these products are made with 100% cold pressed almond oil which makes it excellent for hair that is flat and needs volume. Follow along with me the next few weeks as I give these products a go and share my experience with you!

“I’m living in the days I prayed for” Yesterday I opened an old prayer journal from 2014-2017. It was such a painful stage in my life and that pain is what often keeps me from looking back on it. But I opened it yesterday and I was floored. Prayers I had prayed for myself, my sister, my partner, my parents, it has all turned into a reality without even realizing it. I am living in a time of answered prayers. Often we pray, and we expect our prayers to be answered in this massive “thunder and lightning” way. But funny enough, our miracles can sneak up on us. This isn’t a boasting post. This is a reminder, in the midst of all this chaos, miracles and blessings still exist ✨ Presets by @shante_hutton
Been back at work this week...and I really miss the midday naps I had during lockdown 😴
See that smile? That smile is because I had my first real iced coffee in over a month, and I am a happy human again. Almost distracts me from the fact that I accidentally purchased a decaf blend yesterday 🤮
“I am learning to find joy right here in the mess of things” - @morganharpernichols Everything is pretty much a mess right now for us all. But what brings you joy right now? For me it’s being able to spend time with my family, extra cuddles with my dog, and working in pjs. What’s bringing you joy right now?
How are you holding up? I thought lockdown would give me the time to knock out blog posts, bank some content and find time to workout, but truthfully I’ve spent it in pjs, glued to my desk for almost 12 hours a day. Balance has been non existent, and here I am, posting a picture from a year ago, when the world was different and things like quarantine and lockdown were non existent terms in our daily lives.
It’s an odd thing to live in Durban and miss the ocean this much, but I really do. Sunday drives to the beach are one of my favorite things, and I cannot wait to get back to this. What are some of the odd things you miss during this lockdown?
