The phrase "playing offense" came to mind. It may have been the competitor in me, but may have also been sparked by the reality of the times we're in. The worst walls are the ones you put in your way... I don't remember the last day I went outside, but today I needed some fresh air. I took a lap around the block, stretching my legs and bending my knees a little further, taking in every moment. There was a calm and uncertain quietness in the neighborhood... the air and sky was dreamy.

The Glory of Take Out | As news of the NYC restaurant closings spread in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, La Napa Restaurant in my 'hood (Crown Heights, Brooklyn) wasted no time to ensure it could still safely and adequately serve the community. The restaurant owners made the quick decision to carve out a take-out window same-day to adhere to the social distancing guidelines now in effect to reduce the spread of the virus. When one door closes, a window opens... what "windows" of opportunity have you seen open throughout these past few days?
