One of those days! #twiddlemythumbs time. Such luxury !

More rains forecasted in Hyderabad today and tomorrow. One of my team members homes was flooded and he has been struggling to find a new place to shift to. So many people displaced, So many damages. . . Whenever something like this happens the stark contrast btweeb the lives of rich and poor becomes evident..some people get help and some are left stranded to help themselves. So far we have been safe in our house. And its difficult to imagine that this disaster has happened so close to home. But let's not pretend like it's not happening . . All of us need to come together to do a little bit within our capacity. Whatever that you can do. Nothing is too big or too small. But extend yourself to people and animals with open hearts. This world needs compassion more than ever. This could happen to any of us. And the only thing that will help us sail through these tough times is when you have a helping hand.. . .

We received our #madurga face after a good long wait. From getting the base consistency of this papiermache mask ready to painting it took soooooo long. I had pretty much given up. You see it's very difficult to achieve a smooth consistency on papiermache. But I am happy with the results so far! . The artist said he was having trouble figuring out the colors I needed and that I should paint one for him. Unfortunately my painting skills aren't so great. But I'll have to try. He got the complexion of the skin tone right. So that a good start. . . This will be a very fragile Item to ship so I will also have to figure out how I do these in some quantities without damages. That would really break my heart. But for now we are still in the design development process and I am sharing this with you so you can offer me feedback on what you think of this so far. . . Needless to say. Different artists come with different skill sets and I will have to learn to embrace them. I'll have to work much harder on this one as ... but let's see how that goes :)

Just for #instaattendance a post. . . We have lately discovered our designs being printed by some vendors in Moradabd. I am spending a lot of time consolidating contacts of these suppliers. I think I am done trying to have a dialogue with these folks.. . . Started issuing notices now. So if you spot any of our images floating in the web claiming ownership ( except for a handful of resellers) please do let me know.

So some respite today. . . Sun is playing #peekaboo And we are trying to get organized with all our back log orders amidst all the chaos. . . Hoping the people in affected areas find a way to cope. The city is in shambles! . . our 22" handpainted plate waiting its fate. Havent had a chance to do a photo shoot for this one just yet ! A classic pattern this time. Wouldn't it look nice as a table top too. . . More later

Hello All! Hyderabad has witnessed crazy amounts of rainfall and the city is "flooded" and coping with everything that comes with it. Roads choked. No power for 12 hours already. And NO WIFI ! For a city that's had to deal with mostly dry spells, is not used to such copious amounts of rainfall. . . I hear peoples homes have flooded. And I cant even begin to imagine what's up with the street animals and birds. I hope people extend kindness to their community animals. I am sure they wont find food and adequate shelter. Please be kind and open your doors to them. . . The weather has been the craziest across world. I wonder if this will become a norm. I dont want to think about that right now! Because the thought can be depressing. . . ANYWAY, We are taking the day off. This bout is to last for atleast another 24 hours I am told. And with no power ( thankfully we have our solar panels but not enough sun yet for it to generate enough power) and no wifi! We are forced to sit back and wait. . So please expect delayed response..
