I’m bursting with gratitude. This has been an incredible month. Not only did I finish my 2020 wedding season and celebrate three couples this month we also had this editorial featured in @rockymtnbride fall/winter magazine. While I have so much to share about the passion and idea behind this shoot we executed in January this year, I’m gonna leave you with a few pretty photos for now. Let’s chat 2021... Are you feeling uncertain about your next planning steps? Are you feeling frustrated or even unmotivated/uninspired? 2020...well, we all know how it affected weddings this year so let’s not relive that. Instead let’s discuss how to move forward. Please note, these are MY predictions for 2021 but they are not confirmed or guaranteed. Guest counts - 50 to 100 *While we currently have a 50-guest list restriction, I feel with extra precaution and more events with hired professionals we can continue to see an increase in these numbers. How to plan for this? I recommend communicating with your guests honestly. Share that although you hope restrictions change, you will most likely be having a more intimate wedding. Plan for 50 and then increase if you’re allowed to closer to the wedding date. Dancing - yes (it will look different but I hope we will be able to party once again) How to plan for this - I recommend choosing your first dance song and spotlight dances with parents. Practice wedding party dance offs so there is some kind of dance element and start getting creative about other activities that could replace a dancing portion of the evening. COVID protocols - sadly, I don’t think these are going anywhere. Plus, we are COVID EXPERTS now! Send us a DM if you have any questions. We’re happy to support you. Booking Vendors - please continue to do this. We are so grateful for those deposits coming in keeping our business alive. You also don’t want to be disappointed if your favourites are already booked. Most couples have shared that they plan to alter their plans to have a smaller, covid friendly wedding then to postpone (again) so you’re going to want you’re A- list vendor team to help you celebrate that day! Approaching fall and our busiest month of weddings. That sounds crazy when busy means only three but we’re excited about celebrating each of our incredibly patient couples that have dealt with the uncertainty and replanning we’ve had to do. In the meantime can we talk about this beautiful bouquet and the details of this dress? Photo @pageandholmes Florals @justynaevents

Wishing these two a happy first anniversary! J&M you guys are the real deal & your day was nothing short of wonderful. It was such a joy working with you! (also wishing we were back in the Okanagan sipping some wine at one of our favourite spots, @fitzwine 🥂)
Incredible sadness as one of our favourite venues - @seatoskygondola has been vandalized again. Waking up to the news of this brought back a hint of deja vu from August 10th last year. Our hearts go out to the Gondola team, the community of Squamish and the couples that will be affected by this. If you’re seeing this post please take a moment to send them some love 🤍 Photo credit: @emily_nicole_photos
The bridesmaid proposal happened and your bestie is eagerly waiting for your answer. Duh! Of course it’s a YES! Then in the afterthought you ask yourself, “Am I financially prepared to be her bridesmaid?” Swipe to watch our REEL 👉🏻 On average a woman will spend $1200+ being a bridesmaid. From my personal experience and knowledge of costs I would say this number can reach $2000+. Let’s break it down: • THE DRESS - $150 - $300 - note there might be alterations and shipping additional. • SHOES & ACCESSORIES- $50 - $150+ • NAILS - $50 - $100 • HAIR & MAKEUP - $150 - $200 + Tip • BACHELORETTE - $250 - $1000+ • GIFTS - the engagement, bridal shower and wedding - $100+ each • TRAVEL/ ACCOMMODATION - $200 - $800+ (hotel costs, gas and the end of the night cab ride) For a total of $1200 - $2000. Note, the majority of brides will cover parts of these costs. I encourage you to have a conversation about costs, responsibilities and what you should expect to cover for the wedding day at the very beginning. Was this helpful? Save this image or share with a friend. Thank you 🤍 Photo credits @theapartmentphoto + @bremnesphotography
