Weekend well spent! Forever grateful to the universe for letting me find (and befriend) such beautiful souls. ❤️ 📸: @markcaps
My only decent photo in Cijin Island, taken just a few minutes before the rain fell and made me sick for the rest of my trip in Taiwan. 🌧️ Still not done sorting photos from this year's travels (and even last year???). Probably won't post any of it, but it's nice to have something to look at during moments when I'm stuck in Manila, wishing I am somewhere else.
For the next few months of 2019, I am slowing down. Usually, Q3 / Q4 means the last trip or two for the year, but this time, I have decided to just ground myself and focus on other things. Still not set in stone because OBVIOUSLY I might end up booking an impulsive trip, but that's the plan for now. Posting for accountability (and also because my Instagram is DEAD. Hehe hi.)
It's been a few days since I got back from my trip to Taiwan, but to be honest, I'm still in the process of piecing my life back together after that 2-week vacation. Everything is still all over the place: my luggage and bags, still holding the teas that I so hastily bought before going back; my purse, still filled with NTD coins that I could've used to buy another drink at 7eleven; my health, still fcked up and recuperating from the colds and fever that I unfortunately caught during my last days in Taipei. That trip was a lot of things -- exhausting, challenging, somehow stressful (being sick sucks!) -- but looking back, I'm still grateful that I made it through. I still have a lot of unloading to do (you would not believe the things that happened to me on that trip), but here's my step one to slowly unpacking my life and getting more grounded for the time being. Also: Happy April! ♈
New year, new me. Charot. Tamad pa din ako. 💁
Time is my love language and in 2018, I was lucky enough to have the freedom (and budget haha) to spend it with the people that I love. It was not an easy year: I've made a ton of mistakes, I failed miserably, and for some time, I just wallowed in misery. It was not the best but I'm really thankful that I get to foster and strengthen relationships with the people who matter. Thank you for being a part of my 2018. You've brought light to some of my darkest days. To spending more of the coming years with you all. #2018Highlights ✨
Mark and I had an amazing year together. We traveled a bit (with our 7-day Visayas trip as this year's highlight), spent a lot of quality time together, celebrated our 11th year, and he finally had a family photo together with my parents HEHE #milestone 2018 wasn't the best but I can't deny that it brought a lot of great things for us. Still thankful for everything and for having the pleasure to spend it with someone like this guy (nuks love you). ❤️ #2018Highlights
[July 2018] Annual solo trip, this time I visited my dream island -- Siargao! Booked on a whim and stayed in this gorgeous island for 6 days. Met some amazing people, partied like I'm 18, toured around the island, slept by the beach, and just chilled the f*ck out for the whole week. Super stoked to go back this 2019. 🌊 #2018Highlights
[May 2018] Attending this transformative retreat has helped me shape my second half of the year. It made me aspire to be more conscious and mindful on the things that I do. While I still have a lot of things to work on, remembering the experiences in this short getaway from Manila just inspires me to keep going and keep striving. Super thankful to all the beautiful souls that I've met through this retreat! Definitely a part of my #2018Highlights ✨
[All the Beaches -- with friends 2018] Annual trip with La Lulz at Liwliwa, a trip with a friend to LU (no photo unfortunately because we were too occupied to take some!), and a spontaneous overnight by the beach with Cza and Ate Weng. The sea has always given me comfort and just being there surrounded by people that I love was more than enough to fill me with happiness. ❤️ Truly some of my #2018Highlights
[May 2018] Annual trip with the fambam! This year, we went to Masbate and visited some relatives from my dad's side. I've heard countless of stories about my dad's childhood, but this was the only time that the whole family got a glimpse of the place where he grew up on. It's interesting and weirdly overwhelming (we have A LOT of family... Something close to a barangay and being an introvert does not help) but it also felt warm and lovely, having a boatload of people just caring for you and sharing you stories. Really wish we could visit this place more often. It's far (like 16 hrs via bus) but it's also worth it. ✨ #2018Highlights
[April 2018] Turned 26 this year! This was the first time that I celebrated my birthday with friends (long story) and it's definitely something that I would never forget. To more celebrations, hopefully. 😜🍷 #2018Highlights
