Why was the tree stumped? It couldn’t get to the root of the problem.
So we say “human beings” but we don’t say dog beings, or maybe canine beings. Cat beings? Cow beings? WHY?
What do zombies eat for relaxation? A piece of mind. 🧠 . I hope everyone is doing ok and managing to stay grounded during these stressful times. I hope and truly believe that 2020 will be a major turning point in history in several ways. Please know how important it is to take care of your wellbeing while fighting for justice and change so you have more of yourself to give. Just in case anyone is feeling the way I am right now, here are some ways I stay grounded and practice self care: 🥗 Eat healthy and stay hydrated. Taking care of your body is taking care of your mind. 😴 Get enough sleep so you can relax and recharge and bring more energy to tomorrow’s pursuits. 🏃♀️ Exercise. It doesn’t have to be much if you’re feeling exhausted, just enough to get your heart rate up and sweat. Do stretches! 🌿 Connect with nature. Observe and use all of your senses. 🐕 Give your pets some love. They always give it back which is a huge stress reliever for me. 👯♀️ Connect with loved ones. Check in with each other. If you’re struggling, you don’t have to do it alone. 🙂 Do things you enjoy. This is different for everyone. I listen to music, relax in my hammock, read, take and edit photos, take care of my plants, learn new things, work on projects, watch tv, (there’s a new season of Queer Eye!), etc. 🙃 Have some downtime. Unplug! Do nothing for a while. Just rest. Take a bubble bath. If you’re trying to do too much, you won’t be doing everything effectively. Keep things in balance. . I could continue to go on and on but self care means something different to everyone. I’d love to hear what your self care routine looks like.

Be the floof you want to see in the world.
What do you call a lost wolf? A where-wolf.
“Which is faster, hot or cold? Hot, because you can catch a cold.” . I would much rather catch a hot. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy as things pick back up and we figure out what things will look like for possibly the next couple of years. I really think social distancing is here to stay for a while. . I finally went to the plant store yesterday and bought many more plant friends to keep me company at home. I was very impressed with their Covid-19 precautions and organization. It’s interesting to see how some businesses have thought of absolutely everything so people can actually stay 2 metres apart and others either don’t have the space to fully do that, haven’t thought it through properly, or they don’t care all that much. These little details will determine whether I visit certain businesses in person or avoid them. Have you been impressed with how any businesses have implemented social distancing?
What’s the opposite of a waterfall? A firefly. . I have somehow never actually seen any sort of bioluminescent insect at night. As a kid I thought we didn’t have them here but the internet says we do. I’m adding “find a firefly” to my 2020 to-do list so now I just need to figure out where to find them. I love having realizations like this as an adult so I can go out and fix them and fill in the gaps. Is there anything fairly common that you haven’t seen or done that you feel like you have to fix just because?
“Why are hobbit doors round? If you ate seven meals a day, you’d need round doors too!” . We’re currently working our way through The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies. I feel like living through a pandemic is a lot like being a hobbit. You eat many meals a day, sleep a lot, stay in your hidey-hole and don’t go on grand adventures. The hobbits had the answers all along. . Does anyone have anything unhobbitlike planned for this weekend?
They say good things come in trees. 🌲
“Hang in there, baby!” . This photo just reminds me of those kitten posters. You know the ones. . We just ordered our rooftop tent and roof rack for the 4Runner last weekend, not realizing they would take three weeks to be ready to pick up. We had to change the dates on our planned maiden voyage for the rig by a couple of weeks. We’re so excited to try a new style of camping this year. . What’s your favourite way to camp? Or for some, to not camp?😂
I have a real issue with broken bridges. I just can’t seem to get over them. . How do your pets do with bridges? Ivy does a bit of a hilarious squatty walk over ones with grate bottoms but she’s totally fine with solid ones now. She used to be terrified of all bridges to the point where we had to carry her over them.
