I made a “schedule” for Gus and me. Plan is I’ll set it up in the morning and we’ll take turns picking things to do. All the cards are attached to the poster board with velcro. If anyone wants to try it DM me your email and I will send you a PDF of the cards! I’m no teacher just thought it might help us out!
Day 16 is Self-care for #marchmeetthemaker and I hope you’re taking care of yourselves and your community by social d i s t a n c i n g ...
Day 15 of #marchmeetthemaker is Help and I’m lucky enough to have a lot of it, mainly my husband Adam. He supports me in my endeavours and, very helpfully, corrals the kids allowing me to get work done. I couldn’t do it with out him.
Day 14 of #marchmeetthemaker is Current Project. This time yesterday morning this room was full of our lives in boxes as most of our house was boxed away to repair damage from a dishwasher leak we had in January. Now, two months later, we’re finally back in our house and it’s such a relief. Today’s project has been just moving and unpacking and settling back in. We’re in no way done but it’s so good to be home.
Day 13 of #marchmeetthemaker is Unique Selling Point. I think hand embroidery in general is that it can be customized to match any decor, theme or colour scheme. The only limit is your imagination. This piece was one of my favourites. I love the colours.
Day 12 of #marchmeetthemaker is learning curve! So I’m posting my most recent custom piece next to one of my very first pieces from 2016. Not only have my embroidery skills improved, my photography skills have as well!
Day 11 of #marchmeetthemaker is Range! I’ve expended mine for 2020. In addition to embroidery hoops I’m also making yarn rope rainbows and polymer clay earrings! Because I can!!!
This is my messy office/studio space for day 10 of #marchmeetthemaker : Authentic Space. I’m so lucky to have an entire room in my house dedicated to my creative endeavours... though I still do most of my stitching on the couch.
