In the kitchen doing what I love: preparing breakfast 🍌🍓. I prefer not to have anything too heavy in the morning (like bread or cheese, ...) I really enjoy fresh fruits, a smoothie, a smoothie bowl 🙏 I’ve been adding @your.healthyfix every morning to my creations and am absolutely LOVING IT. It makes my smoothies creamier, my bowls thicker and it keeps me full till noon. AND I get so much energy out so I can workout and don’t feel heavy in the stomach or hungry 🙌. I posted something this morning about “slow mornings” on my stories and got a lot of reaction! People applauding and “admitting” they are also “guilty” of this in my DM’s. 🌸 Which are such 2 bullshit words to use in this context ... Social media, youtube, and media overall have printed this idea in our minds that if we want to be productive, succesfull, amazing people then we must get up at 5 am, do journalling, stand on our heads for 30 min, drink liters of water, write to do lists and goals for the day, do some yoga and ... (are there any more cliches Im forgetting)? 🤠 Im not saying that these are bad things to do, or that I dont agree with some of them. To me it just seems unrealistic and not sustainable AT ALL to force yourself to do all these things on a daily basis ... I am FAR more fan of just listening to your body, learning about your energy and how you are feeling and acting accordingly. If I don’t feel energised in the morning I try to figure out why, get some rest/ peace of mind and do the work another moment that day. I will rearrange my agenda so it fits how I am feeling. This way Im seizing the moment, and being SO productive when working, instead of forcing my body of doing things constantly. ⚡️The same goes for my workouts, I don’t force myself to work out so many times a week. I simply wake up and listen to my body that day. If I feel sore or have muscle pains, I let my body rest. And I know I will train so much better the day after ☁️ We are a generation of burn outs, anxiety and a shitload of stress. But let’s try to have some fun with it too, alright?
