Staying at home and joining @Bather’s #WorldwideStaycation! There’s a lot of unknown right now, but it’s also a great time to let yourself catch up on rest and self-reflection. I’ve been having a lot of chats with friends about the path and journey through life and it’s actually been quite inspiring. One thing I try to do everyday to lift my spirits as well is to have gratitude and appreciation for everything I do have in my life right now. Even the smallest things, like a warm, morning cup of coffee. What are you grateful for right now?
BEFORE & AFTER | The difference that paint can make! As most of you know, I love a dramatic wall, especially dark. For our living room, the wall colour was the last step to pull the whole thing together. Swipe to see the before & after of the space!

Canadian tux, no shoes, because... I’m not going anywhere! Quarantine Day 9. And really, even if we hadn’t travelled, I’d be staying home, because that’s the right thing to do. The sooner we all work together to take the right precautions, the sooner we will be able to return to a new normal. ___ Linked the outfit and the home decor: http://liketk.it/2MaSR #liketkit @liketoknow.it #LTKmens #LTKhome
Weekend Mood. 🐾
When I took this photo, I was going to post it with a caption about its aesthetic, but instead I’d like to take a moment to share some reflections that I’ve had over the past few days, while in isolation. ⠀⠀ Like everyone, I have felt the uncertainty of this unprecedented time. I’m a small business, with most of my work online. As a content creator, I have already seen a pause in my business, with many brand partnerships being postponed or cancelled. That being said, there are a few partners who have decided to move forward with our campaigns as scheduled. I understand that seeing an ad in your feed might not be what you want or need right now. However, as always, I will do my best to inspire and uplift you with both organic and paid content that is authentic to me. I too have a family and community to support and if I’m able to continue working sparsely, I feel that it is my responsibility to do whatever I can to support them. I’m aware that this is a privilege, as many other Canadians do not have that opportunity right now. ⠀⠀ I hope that you’ll join me in supporting one another with empathy and compassion. Everyone is faced with a unique set of circumstances, but we are all affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. ⠀⠀ ❤️
Apparently today is National Puppy Day, so here’s Wilhelmina making a funny face and not cooperating for our quarantine selfie. 😜 Hope you’re all having a wonderful day at home. Big shout out to all of the incredible people providing essential services, especially healthcare!
Safe at home. Wow, what a crazy past few days. When we first arrived in Florida, everything was fine, but to be cautious, we had increased our hand washing frequency and ate most of our meals in our family’s condo to be home with our dogs rather than go out. As the days went on, it seemed that things were getting more serious, but isolating and social distancing were recommended as the best thing to do. So we thought we’d stay until our planned return date, stay safe and then return home. Literally the next day, things started escalating fast and we decided we’d better plan to get home sooner and started weighing our options. The next day, Canada announced it would be closing its borders. To avoid the airports and get home as quick as possible, our best option was to drive, especially since we had Sofia and Wilhelmina with us. Needless to say, it was a very intense 24 hours on the road. High adrenaline and anxiety. I can only imagine what other Canadians who are still abroad are feeling. And who don’t have the option to drive home. Had we known things would get this crazy, we would have never even gone on our trip. It seems like the coronavirus was spreading under the radar way faster than anyone realized. We’re now in our 14 day isolation period and I feel so privileged to be safe with a home to stay in. I hope you are all doing your best to socially distance yourselves. We are in this together and we must all take the precautions seriously to overcome this challenging time.
