My absolute favorite day of our Sardinia getaway. 🌊💙 This photo was taken right in front of Cala Goloritzè which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area is called Costa di Baunei and got awarded as the most beautiful sea of Italy in 2020. Totally deserved! "Huh what? Can't hear you."

When you're visiting Sardinia, I highly recommend to rent a small boat and explore the famous east coast. 🌊 During high season (European summer) there might be a bit of traffic on the water and beaches can be crowded. 🏝 So definitely consider off season (Sept./Oct.) for one of the best boat & beach experiences you'll ever have - I promise. 🚤🏝⛵ The boat costs 80€ for half a day (8.30am - noon). We negotiated and paid 100€ and got 3 additional hours to explore. You also have to pay for the gas which will be another 60€. In my opinion half a day is too much of a rush because it takes some time to cruise along the east coast. It's massive! Haggle for those extra hours and enjoy! 🙏🏽 The beaches and nature of the east coast are very unique as there's a huge mountain range just behind the coast. ⛰ There are only a few beaches you can reach by foot. Most of the beaches are only accessible by boat! 🚤 You don't need a licence to drive the boat and it's pretty easy! Anchoring the boat might be a bit tricky with no experience. It also took me a while to trust the anchor that the boat won't drift away. I watched it for a few minutes until I felt safe to leave the boat and then swam to the beach. 🏖🏊🏼‍♂️ I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! We rented our boat in Arbatax and headed north along the east coast. 🌊 Paying 160€ for an activity is definitly not cheap but totally worth it. Three or four poeple will also fit on the boat and then it costs only 40€ per person. There's also lots of storage for all your bags and belongings. 🙏🏽 Save this post for all the details for your next visit to Sardinia, Italy. 🇮🇹
