the commute Observing the daily journeys of commuters has always been a big source of inspiration for my work. For this series, I have picked some of my favorite images of people that I have caught between places of work in the early morning or late evening commute. I’d love to hear which one you liked the best, from 1 to 5. #berlin
the way it used to be Throwing it way back to 2016 today when I realized that Berlin looks so much more interesting from a slightly higher perspective. What followed were almost two years of constant rooftop climbing and waiting for the most epic sunset. This image perfectly represents that phase of my career and it was also the first one for me that kinda went viral on Instagram. Happy to share it again today with a fresh edit, check out my Stories if you wanna see the original one from 2016. I hope you guys are well and Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates. #berlin
it was all there #berlin
devil in the details All quiet, all still - only the wooden floorboards creek when stepped on. This place has inspired many filmmakers through the years, including Quentin Tarantino and J. J. Abrams. Can you name a movie that was filmed in this now abandoned military training school on the outskirts of Berlin? #berlin
no pain is forever #berlin
summer came early Thinking back to summer 2019 and all the beautiful things that came with it. The longer days, warm nights, open windows and loud discussions on the streets. #berlin #stayhome
better days Some of you might have noticed that I got a little reluctant to share portraits or street photography on my Instagram. One reason is feed curation as I have always been slightly obsessed with the overall look of my feed. Every time I shared a portrait, it felt like breaking a routine that I relied on for so long. However, the main reason has always been the lack of engagement when compared to what I would usually share. To be honest, these days I don’t really care about any of that. Hope all my NYC friends are doing well in these difficult times. #newyork #stayhome
I walk alone Finally I’ve found the time to properly review my archive and rediscover some old treasures that I almost forgot about. Like this dude’s perfect example of social distancing. Stay safe everyone. #stayhome
not so very long ago #tb to one of my favorite cities on this planet and the first destination I‘m gonna visit when all of this will be over. #visitistanbul
unfinished stories Can‘t even remember the last time I stayed at home for an entire week without taking a single photo, but right now it‘s the only thing we all can do to help keeping ourselves and others safe. Still got some new Berlin pictures ready and just started picking some old favorites from the archive that I can‘t wait to share soon. Take care everyone! #berlin
recurring patterns Throwing it way back today as I have lots of time to review and re-edit some pictures that I almost forgot about. Like the day when we decided to enter one of Berlin‘s most interesting but highly secured building. Let me just say that it didn’t really work out and got me into some serious trouble, but I still managed to capture these images somehow. I look forward to sharing some more of these memories with you in the coming weeks. #berlin
fading of the day Sunshine and rain at the same time as public life is slowing down in Berlin. Can‘t remember the last time I saw the area around Brandenburg Gate that empty during sunset. #berlin
