It’s probably been years (or maybe never?) since I properly introduced myself here, so here’s a little bit of what you’ll see on this page if you are considering hopping on the ride. 🙃 The content here is a mix of style, home decor, travel, food, humor and attainable luxury in an approachable, realistic way. We’re all friends, right? I’m Kathleen or Kat. I answer to either, no preference. Born in Nashville, raised in Mississippi (went to Ole Miss #HottyToddy), lived in Orange County and San Francisco, California until we moved to Georgia a few years ago. My husband (and college sweetheart) is @drchristianbrarnes and we have two sugar and spice-filled kids. Prior to my website and social media life, I worked for Southern Living Magazine, BankPlus and Urban Decay Cosmetics HQ. Those were some of the BEST jobs and I’m so grateful for the many incredible women that I learned so, so much from. Now I am a content creator and mom in Georgia, and I’m extremely grateful for this community that has provided me with a job (thank you!), friendships and endless creativity and fun. October means it’s officially blazer season and there is nothing I love more than a tailored, chic jacket. A little recap of one of my favorite weeks of the year. ☺️ When I was a kid, we went to the Florida panhandle every single summer, sometimes twice a summer. I created so many core, beautiful, magical memories going to the same spots each year with my family. Because of that, it’s important to me to give that same nostalgia to my boys, and I think we have found our family summer spot. HHI, you were a dream. Until next year… 💙🌊🌴. A few FAQ about our visit (or save this for your next stay!): We rent in the Sea Pines neighborhood via @vrbo. We rent bikes and bike accessories on the island from HHI Rentals for convenience. They even drop off and pick up at your house! 🙌🏼 We sailed with @cheerscharters. Our beach picnic was from @boardandbaskethhi. We loved the Sandbox Children’s Museum.
