Its been nearly two months since we’ve left Los Angeles to pursue this crazy journey we’re on of full time #vanlife . . In just the last month the lessons we’ve learned being out on our own have been priceless. Overcoming the fear and anxiety of a future that is uncertain is the hardest thing to do. It became very comfortable to go through the motions in Los Angeles. But after 6 years of working for somebody else, I knew pursuing a career on my own as a Director and a Photographer had to be done. Are there uncertainties everyday? Absolutely. Do I get anxious pitching myself for jobs knowing that 90% of the jobs I pitch for may not come through? Yeah, you bet. But do I wake up every morning now, knowing that I control the fate of my own business and the success of my life? Hell yes! And it’s the most rewarding factor of this whole journey. Having the freedom to wake up everyday and grind to make a living. The freedom to take a trip for a week and not feel guilty about it. The freedom to live my life the way it’s meant to be lived - to the fullest each and everyday. And the most exciting part? I’m just getting started 😁👍🏻
Woke up to a chilly morning here in PA with frost and fog on the pond and it made me think of this past winter in Banff and how fricken cold the entire week was!! 😜😜 Still one of the best trips of the year and cannot wait to go back to see what the Canadian Rockies are like in the summer. It’s on our van road trip wish list next summer for sure! . . Today we head to Long Island to celebrate one of my oldest friends @mekman9 wedding 💍🕺💃🏼 Enjoy your weekend everyone!
This little handy dandy National Parks guide is our favorite piece of reading right now in the van. We picked this up while we were in Acadia before leaving the park as a way to cut back on paper at every park and keep a cool little badass tracker with us of all the National Parks we’ve visited so far. Between Anna and I we’ve already been to 13 National Parks, but only one in the van so far! In a couple weeks we’ll be heading out on our biggest cross country journey and putting this little book to use 👍🏻 . . What’s your favorite National Park in the US?! Comment below ⬇️⬇️💯
So this is us in front of our current digs 😜 Wanna see how we outfitted this monster with some killer custom blackout curtains?! LINK IN BIO for our newest video! . . Subscribe to our channel for weekly travel tips and updates! Come join us on our journey 😁
Looking up at what the future holds for us and it’s feeling pretty bright 🤞🏻😁
A small leap, but a leap nonetheless. Life’s about taking risks and jumping into something that may feel scary and uncertain at times, but its these risks that shape who we are. We’ve taking some pretty huge risks to get to the point that we’re at now, living on the road full time. There have been doubtful days where we question if what we are doing is the right thing to do and we always come to the same conclusion: yes...yes...and yes 🙏🏼 Take those risks in life that scare you because if it scares you the way this journey scares us, it is 1000% worth it.
Who needs a road dog when you have a road cat? 😜🐱 This is our road child trying to get adapted to being on the move, so far she’s been a champ!
Don’t let this calm demeanor fool you, I almost tripped off this rocks trying to get the perfect photo 🤦🏻♂️😝 I’m quite happy with how these photos came out the other night at Jordan Pond. It’s crazy how empty it was now that it’s the off-season! It’s definitely been a really nice week though exploring the park and the surrounding area with no one around 🙏🏼 . . Tomorrow we head to New Hampshire for a week in the White Mountains! Has anyone ever hiked Mount Washington? Comment your favorite bucket list hikes below ⬇️
