👆🏻Me thinking about my next trip to Japan. 📸: @naheuy . Thank you for being so awesome, dude!
I've been trying out more new stuff recently including styling my hair differently and using more glitter with my makeup (did you know some glitter is not eye safe and has the potential to cause cornea damage? The scariest thing is that some companies aren't upfront with which cosmetics are and are not safe to use around the immediate eye area). . I also finished watching 「怪 〜ayakashi〜 Japanese Classic Horror」by Toei Animation and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a collection of three stories told absolutely masterfully. The art was gorgeous and the stories were steeped in lore. This one's connected to Mononoke and I strongly suggest only watching Mononoke after watching Ayakashi. . Mononoke's another visually stunning anime. Make sure you watch when your mind is clear and alert or things may not make sense. It's also good to keep in mind that the art style is heavily inspired by kabuki and noh. Going in with prior knowledge of these may enhance your viewing experience. . Both of these animes deal with matured themes, so use your own discretion. . In any case, I took a regular flat iron to my (very recently retouched, thank you, @airsalonsg ) hair yesterday and did this. You don't need a ton of expensive tools. I used a flat-iron (mine is secondhand), some hair protecting cream and hairspray. . Sure, some tools can definitely help make some things easier and other specialised products can help with some hair textures, but don't let the lack of specific tools be a barrier to you giving a new style a whirl. . Have you tried anything new this month?
🌈Have you been taking care of your heart?💜 . Some of you asked if my random post was gonna come back... Here it is! Heh. . I haven't gone out in a full denim outfit in ages omg. Check out the little Lego dots on my jacket and bags tho!!! 😭 This collection's too cute for words!!! . #legoxlevis @levis_singapore
I've been having fun letting my brain go to mush for a bit, haha. Let your girl live a little ey. . I always need to hide away for a while to recharge after prolonged periods of contact with other humans. How about you?
I'm just glad you're here. 🤗 . In my AMA question tags, I often get asked about what I do in my free time. . Well, I watch anime, make accessories (resin, rope and crystal stuff), go for dance classes, read books and manga, research the ingredients in the products that I get sent, journal and stuff like that. . I've been watching a lot of anime recently. I just finished all the available seasons of 血界戦線 (Kekkai Sensen). I give the first season a rating of 7/10 (the last few episodes were a little confusing for me) and the second season an 8.5/10. It's a seinen anime so prepare yourself for depictions of blood, smoking and swearing etc. . As for what I read, it's a mixed bag. The sorts of books I've been reading recently are mostly translated fictional works of Japanese authors. My weak ass still depends way too much on furigana for me to read the regular 文庫本 (bunkobon). . What else would you like to know?
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Did this make you laugh too? I stuck out like an orange traffic cone there omg. . This is what happens when your friend suddenly goes "Eh, let's go to Atlas". 😭
😁 Thank you for capturing this moment, @naheuy and thank you @fallowandlight ! 😁 . I swear I was smiling so hard under the mask because of @fujitheheartbreaker 😭 such a sweet pupper!!!
It's human to have feelings. Shutting them out only delays the processing of those emotions. . I think processing them as they come might help us more in the long run. Therapy is one of the ways that can help us learn to process stuff. . Yes, the word of the day is "process".
I'm not sure why we're still here either but while we are, maybe we can try to love ourselves a bit more. . On to something else: I'm glad I'm exercising now. It has been helping me get rid of some of my nervous energy while forcing me to focus on one thing at a time, so for example, whenever we have to do rises, I have to shut everything else out so I don't go off-balance and whack my face. . It has also been forcing me to face up to all the techniques I've thrown away. The ballet teacher said one of the reasons my outer thighs always cramp up when we do tendus and fondus because I tend to overcompensate on my support leg. It's familiar feedback for me so I'm going to be working more on that. . What've you gone back to doing recently? . PS: Yes, I have hip dips. They're normal. I used to freak out over them but now I'm just like ah, whatever la.
Thank you to everyone who watched and shared my last IGTV 🤗! . It originally was just supposed to be a random video but the more I edited, the more nonsense got added in 🤣 Let me know if you'd like more of this sorta thing!
You are more than whatever label people try to slap on you. 💕 . We are humans and not everything is content. . It is not a crime to just live a life that is peaceful and happy.
