Back at @bizensteakhouse for the second time. Surprisingly it wasn't really packed for a weekend dinner. . The beef today was bit over done. I asked for medium but it came out medium well. The first time though was perfect. I'd suggest choosing a thicker cut so it won't come out overcooked. The normal ribeye would be a safe bet. . Everything else was good. Chicken wings were succulent and crispy, mushroom soup was chunky, and the chawamushi was soft and light. . I'd still be back to try out the other cuts. Still one of the more value for money steakhouses in Singapore if you're looking for quality beef. . #bizensteakhouse #burpplesg #sgfoodies #sgfoodblogger #sgfoodie #sgsteak #astonsteakhouse #sgfoodblog #sgfoodtrend
Lunch at @lokkeesg today. Chinese cuisine with a bit of fusion twist. Food was good,l worth a try if you haven’t been. Approx $35 - $40 per pax. . #burpplesg #sgfood #sgfoodtrend #sgfoodblogger #sgfoodbloggers #sgfoodstagram #sgfoodporn #sgfoodie #sgfoodies #sgfusionfood #tunglok
If there’s a Michelin Restaurant you have to try in Singapore then it has to be @restaurantlabyrinth . This was my third visit but it was just as impressive as my first. The cuisine focuses around local heritage but with a twist. For example you get lup cheong claypot rice done in a tapas style, or oyster omelette made looking like a takoyaki and many more surprises! The best thing is that it tastes like the real thing when you put it in your mouth! . . #michelinsg #sgfinedining #sgfood #sgfoodie #sgfoodies #burpplesg #sgfoodblogger #modsin #sgfoodporn
Trying out the Lobster buffet here. Didn't really live up to the expectations but worth trying once. Lobsters are fresh and refill pretty quickly. Would have been better if there was a wider variety of cooking styles. . #sgbuffet #buffetsg #seafoodsg #sgseafood #sgfoodblogger #sgfoodies #sgfoodie #sgfoodblog #sgfodbloggers #burpplesg
Had my first encounter with #mookatasg here, and surprisingly good. Ingredients are really fresh (especially the prawns), and reasonably priced. Staff are super friendly too! . #sgfood #sgfoodie #sgfoodies #sgfoodblogger #burpplesg #sgmookata
Been coming back to @gyukakujbbq at Marina Square a couple of times for the wagyu buffet. . We usually go for the Japanese Wagyu, as you can really taste the difference in the meant compared to the Australian wagyu. . There’s also a wide variety of dishes like scallops, tiger prawns (yes they’re quite fresh), vegetables, mushrooms, etc. . Service pretty ok, though its 1.5hrs, we were hardly pressured by the service staff. . #sgwagyu #sgbuffet #buffetsg #wagyubuffet #sgfood #burpplesg #sgkoreanbbq #sgjapanesebbq #sgfoodblogger
Stumbled on @rookerysg after meeting today. Food was surprisingly good. We had a couple of tapas. . Scallops was good, fresh juicy with butter sauce. The bread was crisp and soft. Went great with the sauce. . Pork belly was surprisingly crispy than most shio bak stalls from hawkers, but a tad salty. . Camembert cheese was very simple but very decent, with bit of mushrooms on top. . I had a latte, and for a bar / pub kind if place, I think it was pretty decent coffee too! . Will be back to try out other items. . #sgfood #sgcafe #sgbeer #sgbars #sgtapas #burpplesg
@kuriyafinedining has always maintained the standard of japanese cuisine. Its a little bit pricey but worth every dollar.
Dined at the @gucciosteria pop up event today. Read about it and had high expectations since it was a partnership with @massimobottura . Maybe had set expectations too high. The food was pretty decent for fine dining standard, but was far from wow-ing, or any kind of innovation. . For example the pork belly in the Taka Bun which was similar to our #kongbakpao was bit chewy and tough, instead of a melt in your mouth kind of experience that one would expect. . The wagyu was sous vide then roasted which I think an @anovaculinary could have managed something similar if not the same quality. . To top it all there was only @nespresso.sg coffee if you wanted some caffeine. And a small cup would set you back by $8 . That said service staff was prompt and friendly. There was a door gift at the end too. Overall I wouldn't pay $250++ for meal like this. . . #sgfinedining #sgfood #sgmichelin #michelinstar #burpplesg #gucciosteriasg #gucciosteria
