Things may be a bit crazy in the 🌎 right now, but remember to ✨ Breathe ✨ Practice Gratitude ✨ Rest A lot of us small business owners are low key panicking (for obvs reasons), but there is so much to still be thankful for in the midst of uncertainty. Like today, the first day of Spring. I’m grateful for seasons, within the calendar year and in life. Nothing lasts forever - this too shall pass. There’s always something else to look forward to, and there’s always beauty to be found in the season we are in. Share what you are thankful for in the comments below! 👇 #firstdayofspring #dogwoods
It’s no secret that coastal weddings have my heart. 🤍 Just look at those marsh views! After Frances & Max said I do at the neighboring chapel, we walked over to this pier for some portraits. That “just married” glow is truly something special. ✨ #faithteasleyweddings #pawleysisland #contax645
Happy Valentine’s Day! 💕 I hope each and every one of you reading this know how loved and valued you are! Have an amazing weekend!! Signing off for now, as I have a hot date with one of my favorite 5 year olds and my BFF grandparents. ✌️ #contax645 #fineartweddingphotographer #charlestonwedding

Have you chosen your Word of the Year? ✨ I started choosing a WOTY several years ago, and it’s something I now look forward to every year! I’ve taken the month of January to decide on what I want my word to be this year. My first choice was “FREE”, but I kept feeling a nudge that maybe it’s supposed to be “GRACE”. After researching the two, I’ve found that freedom and grace actually compliment each other perfectly. You see, Grace is a Freedom fighter. When we allow ourselves to experience and accept the grace that God so generously gives, we can begin to live a life of true freedom. Freedom of trying to do everything in our own strength. Freedom from perfection (let’s be honest, none of us are perfect - and that’s ok!). Freedom from the things that keep us enslaved. So, I have two words for 2020: Grace & Freedom. I tend to be a perfectionist - which means I’m super hard on myself. This trait can be used for good, like in my work - I always strive to give 110% in everything I do. However, living this way all the time is exhausting. I’m learning to accept God’s grace, realize I can’t do everything in my own strength, and live in the freedom that grace gives. One of my dear friends at Target (yes, I visit Target enough that the employees know me haha), told me that 2020 needs to be my year of NO. NO to saying yes to everything. NO to things that no longer serve me. NO to depression & anxiety. NO to being my own worst critic. In other words, I’m going to choose to give myself GRACE and to walk in FREEDOM. Who’s with me? 🙋♀️ If you have a #WordOfTheYear please share in the comments! I would LOVE to hear from you and cheer you on in #2020! #youvegotthis #liveyourbestlife #graceandfreedom

Hello, 2020! ✨ It’s crazy to think we’ve entered a new decade. In 2010, I photographed my first wedding! The last ten years have certainly been an adventure, and I’m so grateful! Here’s just a portion of my decade recap: - I photographed hundreds of weddings and portrait sessions for the most *incredible* people - Traveled to 6 countries - Had my work featured in many publications - Started @saltwatercollection - Had the opportunity to play drums in front of 25,000 people - Made new and lasting friendships - Became “Aunt Faith” to 5+ of my favorite little ones - Faced intense loss - Witnessed miracles - Started shooting film in 2014 - Added two chocolate labs to the family @bearandbaileybear - Fell in love with the West Coast - Dealt with anxiety and depression - Faced some of the hardest years of my life - Gained new family members - Dealt with health issues - Started photographing for one of my favorite magazines, @ourstatemag - Drove all across the Carolinas - Made treasured memories with people I love For 2020, I’m feeling hopeful and expectant! This decade has been good to me, and I’m grateful for both the highs and lows (and believe me, there were lows). It’s amazing how God can work all things together for good! The struggles we face refine us. I’m looking forward to seeing what the next ten years have in store! 🙌 What are YOU looking forward to this year?!! I’d love to cheer you on in the comments below!
“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here’s to new beginnings and fresh starts! How are you feeling about 2020? I’m overwhelmed at the thought of a new decade, but also so, so excited to see what the next 10 years will bring! ✨ What are you looking forward to most in 2020? I’d love to hear your thoughts + goals in the comments below!
