It’s the weekend!!! Let’s go break and make things! 🌞
We had double the fun of Scented Candle Making last week, with both a regular run, and a private session happening on two separate days! We had a fun trio, as well as a cool team from GoPro making with us! Did you know that in their workplace, they’re given a couple of hours a week within their working hours to do something they love (and film it)! Well, we didn’t have our action cameras out then, but we did have a whole lot of making! Thank you to both groups for learning with us! If you’d like to bring your team over for a fun session of making, just send us a message! Or an email over at email@example.com 😊
BOOOOO! 🦇 Our October schedule is here! We’ve stirred up a cauldron-full of fun craft activities this month, with new workshops (hello Loom Beading, Mat Weaving, Water Color Rendering, as well as another round of Batik, and new sewing projects), as well as seasoned favorites! Just send us a DM to join, or head over to bit.ly/CraftMNLWorkshops to join! See you at the studio!
Ready to fall in love with another craft skill? ❤️ Loom beading is happening at the studio, with designer Bhavna Gupta! Learn the basics of beading in this pleasant, and meditative process of making pretty accessories! This session happens on Saturday morning! Send us a DM, or register over on our website to join. 😊
Mat weaving is back! Our friends from @woven.ph brought the talented weavers from Basey, Samar over for a Basic Mat Weaving, and Embroidery workshop! Learn as they demonstrate how to begin a weave, and get hands-on practice as you work on your own piece! Get to create designs on your little mat through Embroidery—but with dried, colored leaf strips! They only come and visit every so often, so send us a DM, or head over to our website to sign up! This weekend’s two sessions both happen on a October 6 (Sunday), from 3-430 PM, and from 430-6 PM at the #rootscommune at @uptownbonifacio_ !
Sharpen those interior styling sensibilities with the awesome folks of @room_revolution this weekend! We have a session happening on Sunday afternoon, so be sure not to miss it! You not only get to acquaint yourself with the basic concepts of interior styling, you also get some guided hands-on practice! If you already have an existing space you’d like to work on, then all the better to seek @room_revolution’s expert advice! 👍🏼 Just send us a DM, or head over to our website to join!
Wax on, wax off. 🥋 Actually, not really. More like, wax on, and into the wood. This is pretty much the last step for the Basic Woodworking project, which involves measuring, squaring and planing, gluing up, sanding, and finishing with beeswax blend finish. And at the end, you have a simple wooden breadboard. In between, you also learn about wood, and wood shop safety, and it takes all of about six hours. Up to learning something new this weekend? We still have a couple of slots free for tomorrow’s Basic Woodworking with @lexbreyes. 🌞 Just send us a DM, or sign up over at craftmnl.com 👈🏼
Did you know that you can get references for the manipulation of indigenous materials from @dti.designcenterph? 🧐 Unearthed this reference we got years ago on dyed indigenous materials! It indicates what type, and the percentage of dyes to achieve specific colors and shades using different local raw materials. Just seeing all of these beautiful colors and textures makes us happy. 😊 Sharing with you for happy morning vibes! 🌞
More snippets from the weekend...Basic Leathercrafting with @soulflowerco, Basic Pottery with @ioridori. ❤️ Thank you for learning with us!
Measuring, hammering and sawing—Carpentry for Kids can be a solo activity for bigger kids, or a supervised bonding-type of activity with the younger ones. We had fun with these creative kiddos last Sunday at the @bgcartscenter! Thank you for making with us! ❤️
These kids made such cool Melt and Pour Soaps last Saturday at the @bgcartscenter! Thank you very much for joining! ❤️ To the parents who are asking about the next session—wait up, we’ll be announcing soon!
