The hottest tourist attraction in Tianjin, China? A public library 📚 Tianjin Binhai Library, nicknamed "The Eye," features an all-white futuristic design and a luminous spherical auditorium. The 33,700-square-meter structure has the capacity to house more than 1.2 million books — though most of the shelves in the atrium are plastered with images of book spines instead of actual books (📷 by @harimaolee)
You've seen countless photos of Positano, the jewel of Italy's Amalfi Coast with its towering seaside cliffs and countless pastel-hued homes. But anchoring the town is the majolica-tiled dome of the Church of Santa Maria Assunta. The church is located in the heart of Positano, just steps away from the Marina Grande beach, and has been connected to the Virgin Mary since the 12th century. (📷 by @thehistoriantraveller)

Beijing's massive new Daxing International Airport is officially open for business — just in time for celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China on October 1. Nicknamed "starfish" by Chinese media for its shape of five concourses connected to a main hall, Daxing aims to reduce walking for passengers, long a complaint about many new mega-hubs. Flights from Daxing will cover 112 destinations around the globe by next spring. China is projected to overtake the United States as the world's biggest air travel market by 2022 (📷 by STR/AFP/Getty Images)

Dubrovnik's 14th-century city walls are the largest and best preserved in Europe and offer photogenic views across the terracotta tops of the Old Town (📷 by @bucketlistbums)

Drawing a line in the sand — literally ✍🏼 From simple lines to geometric and zoomorphic shapes, the Nazca Lines are spread across the arid plateau of Pampas de Jumana in Peru. The geoglyphs, which can stretch to 1,200 feet, were made by the Nazca people around the 1st century CE, and some formations even have nicknames like The Sparrow, The Iguana and The Flower based on their shapes. There are plenty of theories about how the lines got there and what they meant, but experts believe they were used to mark water sources or were part of rituals (and not the work of aliens) 👽 For tips on how to see the Nazca Lines, hit the link in our bio (📸 by @flo.zel)
