3 long months of facetime and here we are together again!!!! IM SO HAPPY TODAY 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 #thisis36
78 days of quarantine and I have come to learn so much. The sky has never been so clear it was such a blessing to witness everyday. There was a lot of anxiety, I admit but it was God’s voice and my family that calmed me down. It was silent chaos mixed with fear but it was also gratefulness for the many blessings. The news caused worry but we were grateful for good health. You really come to realize that life can be simpler, you dont need so much of what you thought you needed. Sometimes when you feel lost, you discover a fire in you that helps you go on. May we all treat the coming GCQ as an opportunity to start anew. Hold on to what we have learned, make sure to still practice protocols because we need to conquer this together. Sharing beautiful photos by my talented cousin @alexjsearle, showing us that our world is such a beautiful place to live in ♥️
Our first day out since March was 30 minutes of sheer happiness 🌈☀️ #nevertakethingsforgranted
Proms cancelled. Events cancelled. Weddings cancelled. How do I move on? So heartbroken. 💔💔💔
None of us were prepared for this. One day, we were having lunch in Asakusa in Vertis North going about our daily lives then the next day, Covid 19 had taken over everything. It was like a thief in the night. An experience that has changed all our lives forever. . We were probably one of the few restaurants that stayed open after March 18. We devoted our days to cooking for the frontliners and stayed open so our neighborhood would have options for food. Operating on skeletal force because our staff had no way to get to work with Jacob shuttling our employees to Grove daily. We hustled everyday and adapted to the “new normal.” No dine ins. Take out, delivery and curbside pickups only. Such a dreary shift from feeling so alive seeing diners happily enjoying a meal in the restaurant. But phew, BREATHE is what we said. We were grateful that we could still operate our first branch. . I am sure that our anxieties (Jacob, Rolf and I) are not unique. Everybody across all industries have to adapt, adapt, adapt. This is really a test of what it means to be an entrepreneur. Thinking out of the box and being creative all while being mindful of the safety of our customers and staff. Our restaurant‘s layout is far from what it used to be as we have converted it to a safety zone - making sure every person is sanitized upon entering. We do temperature checks, contactless ordering, social distancing and contactless payment. But our food, our food has not changed. It still feeds your soul. We have worked harder than we ever did before and we will do everything to make this new normal a memorable Asakusa experience. One day, we will all eat in the restaurant again but for now, we will innovate. I want to take the opportunity to thank all those who have supported us since the beginning of the ECQ. It has been an absolute pleasure serving you from a distance. Missing all of you. . . #AsakusaHomeoftempura #AsakusaAtHome
When the year started, I was really contemplating lessening my workload to be the best mom and wife. Everybody knows that being busy makes me feel alive. Then in a blink of an eye, it happened. I cooked almost everyday, became a teacher, organized each corner of our home, baked, played the piano again, put my kids to sleep and so much more. In the past weeks, I witnessed every moment with my children and husband. There were days filled with anxiety that were erased immediately by the days filled with sheer happiness. In the chaos, the peace is in my home. Happy Mother’s Day to all my co mommas, whose role in the family has been truly tested by this time. Thank you Jacob, Noelle & Noah for making me a mother. You are my everything. ♥️ @jacobbautista
I have been fortunate enough to be quarantined with my dear husband for 7 weeks now and I must say I got to know him even more. He has used this time of “rest” for more meaningful deeds. He has been a doting father and their number one playmate any time of the day they want - especially when Im too tired to participate. He started cooking for our neighbors and most importantly, he started a program feeding the frontliners (hospital workers and those in check points) who are putting their lives ahead of us during this time. He has sent over 1,000 meals to various hospitals. His escape in all this is when he has brief time alone on his computer playing his favorite games. I want to #giveagamerbreak to the one who I knows deserves it the most - my husband @jacobbautista! You play every game you’re into so damn well and Im proud to have a gamer husband in you! You DESERVE this!!!
So glad I went on that daytrip to Tagaytay and that beach trip with family ♥️
Best part of this quarantine ♥️♥️♥️ @jacobbautista
