Still a few more photos to share with you guys from Thailand, but currently on a flight to Greece! I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it back here this year, but the stars aligned and I’ll be touching down in Mykonos shortly. ✨
Bring on the Tomb Raider adventures, Thailand! 🗿
I always wanted to meet a dragon. Dreams do come true in Thailand. 🐉
Going green at @fschiangmai - how gorgeous is this pool set in the rice fields? 🌿
Those blue feels inside the Blue Temple of Chiang Rai. 💙
A much needed rooftop dip after a day of running around the Ayutthaya ruins in the heat and humidity. Can I move in @137pillarsbangkok? 🙈 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📷: @leftietraveler
Chiang Rai, you’re incredible. Why did I wait so long to visit you? 🌿
Lantern love in Istanbul. 🔮 Planning to visit Turkey? If so, SAVE this post! I’m sharing my three week itinerary below that includes some of the prettiest places in the country. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ISTANBUL (4 days) The vibrant city is truly amazing! There’s a lot to see in Istanbul, and it’s best to visit popular sights very early to avoid the crowds of people. Some of my favorites include the Hagia Sophia, Galata Tower, Ortakoy, Balat neighborhood, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, Basilica Cistern, Suleymaniye Mosque. And for a luxurious (and affordable!) Turkish bath experience, make a reservation at Kilic Ali Pasa Hamam. STAY: Hotel Empress Zoe in the Sultanahmet ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ KAS (4 days) Best surprise of the trip – my favorite spot in Turkey! The cobbled town is completely colorful and charming. The region’s rocky peninsula is home to several beautiful resorts built into the cliffs along private stretches of Mediterranean coast – reminded me a lot of the Greek islands. And speaking of Greece, take a daytrip over to Kastellorizo, a beautiful Greek island located just off the Kas coast. Kaputas Beach is also a must-visit. STAY: Lukka Exclusive Hotel ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ PAMUKKALE (3 days) The milky travertines are a cotton candy wonder. Also worth a visit are the ruins of the Hierapolis, especially the warm-water Antique Pool where it looks like you are swimming over ancient Greek ruins. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ SELCUK (2 days) Make a quick overnight stop in Selcuk to see the iconic Ephesus Ruins, one of the prettiest historical sites in Turkey. Also, work in an afternoon visit to Sirince, a picturesque Greek mountain village filled with charming old houses, cobbled streets, shops and wine tasting. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ CAPPADOCIA (4 days) Of all the areas I visited in Turkey, it was Cappadocia's moonlike dreamscape of fairy chimneys, rock castles and cave churches that left the biggest impression. There’s so much to see, here are a handful of my favorite spots: Pasabag, Uchisar Castle, Cavusin, Goreme Open Air Museum, Rose Valley and the Local Cave House pool. STAY: Kelebek Cave Hotel, Museum Hotel, Sultan Cave Suites or Rox Cappadocia
I’m trying to do my part to avoid single use plastic, especially when traveling in Southeast Asia. #ad For this trip, I’ve packed a couple of these @avana #ashbury bottles that I fill with water every morning. The bottles are simple, convenient (with integrated straws!) and translate to 10-12 bottles of plastic that I will not be throwing away here in Thailand. Any other tips on how to cut back on single use plastic? Please share!
I was on a mission to find the prettiest pool in Thailand. Mission accomplished. @fschiangmai 🌿 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📷: @leftietraveler
