Thank you for all the blessed birthday wishes. I appreciate everyone of you who took the time to wish me on this day. Honestly, I'm thankful and grateful to be able to continue embark on this photography journey despite many hurdles throughout the years and being able to share my experiences with all of you. And of course I'm grateful for the support from my friends and family, you guys have been constantly in my mind and I know despite my busy schedule, I hope we could find time to hang out too. So hit me up and I promise to make time for you lovely friends.
MALAYSIA REPRESENT! In conjunction with the upcoming Merdeka celebration, I thought it would be fun to try to capture this photo all in one exposure. It is a bit challenging to get the milkyway in details and also the flag in motion as the wind wasn't blowing in the "right direction" as well. Also, it's difficult to make the flag freeze for a 16s exposure photo but with proper planning, I was able to pull it off with the help of my two other friends. There's also two additional flash unit being employed in this shot to lit up the subject. Happy Early Merdeka celebration 😆🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
Hey, 2 more days till the end of OPPO Beyond Your Vision photography contest. Have you submitted your image already? This was taken during my second trip to Mersing earlier this month with my Reno 10x Zoom. I was quite sick with food poisoning on my first night in Mersing but that didn't stop me from heading out to look for the beautiful stars. I've received quite a few people asking where and how to actually capture the milkyway there as some of them personally went to Mersing but didn't had any luck with the stars. Well, shooting the milkyway requires more than just equipment and skills. Sometimes it takes luck as well. You can't head over there without any planning beforehand. You need to plan your trip around the new moon phase and also with great weather without any clouds. It can take a lot of "research" to see if the weather is great for shooting astronomy. If you're interested to chase the milkyway, hit me up with a dm and hopefully I can try to organise a trip for you guys during my next hunt.
Another shot taken last week with my Oppo Reno 10x phone. At this rate I can just start posting phone photos instead of photos from my camera already. 😂
If you've been following my insta stories, you would have noticed this shot posted there during my trip to Mersing last weekend. I was fortunate to be blessed with great weather last week. The sky was dark and clear as it can be when this beauty revealed itself after the rain. This was taken with the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom and just a little phone tripod. At this point, I'm just a little too excited since I can now bring my phone for extra shots during my milkyway hunts. Also quite impressed with the phone's low light performance.
Recently testing the night shot capability of Oppo Reno 10x, gotta say the image quality from phone cameras nowadays is quite impressive. This was shot handheld with the Oppo Reno 10x and I love the details and luminance of the photo even without setting up a tripod. Im grateful to have the opportunity to have a test shoot with Oppo's latest products and this new phone has been performing very well. 😍
You don't marry someone you can live with, You marry someone you cannot live without. Love is only true when it gives you the freedom to be the perfect reflection of your true self.
Once in a while, In the middle of life, Love gives us a fairy tale. You don't have to rush for love, It will come eventually. Happy 520 to all the couples and also single ppl who yet to find their special one. The time will come for you.
Alright I'll start posting wedding photos again since I havent been posting any actual day wedding photos for such a long time. Here's a set of wedding from Stratosphere The Roof by Grace & Jeremy. I really like rooftop wedding vibes like these and especially when it's decorated with fairy lights to bring out the romantic setting. Let me know whats are your favourite kind of wedding venue below. Is it a beach setting or garden setting? Or perhaps the classy hotel kind?
It's always fun for me to share the beauty of the universe with my friends. There was never a dull moment when you're lying down just gazing at this stunning piece of art and having conversations with your friends. It can be pretty addictive and hours can pass by pretty quickly. Also, forever grateful to have met all the new friends along the journeys of my Milkyway hunts. If you've ever had a star gazing experience, I'm pretty sure you'd be humbled by the sight of it. Don't u agree? Second pic is the group photo we took at the Grampians car park. The night was getting colder as it gets darker. But we have awesome food by our aussie friends who effortlessly cook fried rice, stuffed zucchinis, some other meat dishes just to keep us filled and warm after the day hike. It was such a heartwarming meal. 🙏
The starry night in Grampians was pretty amazing. We went for a hike up the Pinnacles for the sunset and the sky got dark quickly as we descend from the peak. But as we were in the canyon surrounded with darkness, we looked up and were greeted by a magical sky filled with million of stars. We decided to take a break to admire this beauty while switching off all our lights. Definitely a recommended experience to stargaze there. Swipe left to watch the short time lapse that I've filmed in the car park area!
"We gazed dreamily at the Milkyway and once in a while caught some shooting stars. Times like those gave me the opportunity to wonder and ask all those very basic questions. That sense of awe for the heavens started there." - Kalpana Chawla
