We're thrilled to welcome Argentinian artist, Eugenia Bracony to Artaxis. Find her on Instagram at @eugenia_bracony. This is her work titled, “Umbrales”, Stoneware with yellow slip, 140 cm x 90 cm. Our International Coordinator, Neha Kudchadkar writes about Eugenia's work, "Eugenia Bracony has devised a dynamic practice as ceramic sculptor, studio potter and teacher. Her work balances many contradictions. It is subtle and sensitive, and yet has a vibrant presence. It is as much about the materiality and the surface of the ceramic matter as it is about the absence of matter. She draws out the quiet, restrained, intangible space around her forms and makes it sing." She currently lives and works in Buenos Aires and is a professor at the Instituto de Cerámica de Avellaneda. Find out more about her on her new Artaxis page at https://artaxis.org/eugenia-bracony/ . . #artaxis #ceramics #contemporaryceramics #eugeniabracony #argentinianceramics #argentina #stoneware
