Finally accepting that summer has come to an end and I’ve gotta say, this one was special 🥹 There were less trips to take and events to produce than usual (which had me feeling like I wasn’t doing enough in the moment) but in hindsight, there’s no other way I would’ve rather spent my time than rebuilding with the people who matter most to me. My cup is full. The foundation for this next chapter has been set. & I am finally ready to build again 🙏🏼 I look forward to planting seeds for fall and winter with tonight’s new moon. Adios retrograde! Thanks for kicking my ass into gear, I needed that 😅🤞🏼

Hold steady, What’s meant for you will never miss you 🤞🏼

When I first got pregnant I was 100% one of those moms who swore I would be homeschooling my child until high school. Once River finally arrived and started walking &talking (12 months old) I quickly learned that perhaps that wasn’t going to be the case should I ever hope to have my clean home, routine and career back 😩😅🥲 The past 18 months have been the most challenging, yet rewarding time of my life thus far. When we stopped working with our nanny, I became so use to simply trying to survive each day that it hadn’t even dawned on me that River was approaching the age for enrollment &I would have the option to send her to school soon. This girl is active AF,loves to learn &really loves making friends + interacting with people. She looooved the weekly dance & music classes we had been going to and I began to think maybe having her attend school could actually be a good idea-for both of us! It was REALLY hard at first.As you can see, she was not a happy camper.Yet as the days went on,the drop offs got easier &pick ups became my favorite part of the day! I can now write long captions like this while drinking coffee on my balcony in complete silence,read,get a good workout in & focus on pouring into myself during the first half of the day so that my cup is full enough to pour into River 4the second half. To all the parents out there in the thick of those first 18 months,hang in there!!It gets much easier soon! 🫶🏼 & to my mommas who are weary of dropping their kids off at school for 6hrs, trust me- they will be more than ok! There are so many amazing options 4early education out there,u just have to dig for the one that suits u &your family. Some schools even have apps where you can log in &receive progress videos and pics every hour like River’s! I love the Montessori learning method &can already see improvement in Rivers attention span, listening skills &cleanliness after just one week! Congrats to all the kids + parents who have completed their first ever week of school, I’m so proud of us🥹 !
