We enjoyed their selection of steamed dumplings, with the Hainan Chicken Siumai being a highlight with that distinct Hainanese chicken flavour. The Prawn Toast was next level with the use of butter and salted egg yolk in the shape of a ball. The Tea Smoked Duck Pancake was a delight to the palate and the Char Siu Beef Ribs were tender and tasty. Our favourite here was the Malaysian Chilli Mud Crab, with that belachan chilli sauce being so moorish that we wanted to dip everything in it. [Sydney Hidden Gems] Although Chinese food is prevalent in Sydney, authentic Cantonese food is not easy to find. However, in Newtown, @bamboohutfusion is one of these rare finds. We loved their freshly hand-made dumplings, bursting with flavour and their home made pepper roast duck which had crispy skin and tender flesh with a subtle hint of pepper taste.
