🔥BANH MI RECIPE🔥 SWIPE ➡️ All my ingredients for homemade Banh Mi! I almost made the bread and cha (pork cake) from scratch but I got lazy lol. Everything else was homemade. Measurements are approximate so please adjust to taste. Hoi An Style Pork (Xa Xiu) You can eat this with rice or mi quang, cao lau. Marinate 1 lb pork belly or pork butt, cut into 1.5 inch strips in 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 Tbsp five spice powder, 1 Tbsp garlic powder, black pepper, and chopped shallots for 30 minutes. Remove all the liquid from the pork and reserving the sauce. Heat oil and shallow fry the pork pieces. Once browned on all sides, remove pork from oil and place into a small pot. Add the reserved liquid and enough water to cover the meat. Bring to a boil. Then turn it down super low and stew for an hour until meat is tender. Add more water if sauce gets too thick. Reserve sauce to put on your sammy. Pate Recipe Cover 8 oz chopped pork or chicken liver with milk and white wine for 30 min. Strain. Do not rinse. Cover 1 slice of white bread (no crust) with milk. Add 8 oz ground pork, chopped shallots, liver, bread with milk, 1 Tbsp butter, pinch of salt and pepper in a food processor for a rough chop. Add mixture to a pan and fry until cooked. When cooked, put it back into processor until smooth. When consistency is reached, add to container, top with melted butter and refrigerate overnight. Pickled Carrots and Daikon Recipe 1 lb julienne carrots 1 lb julienne daikon 1 cup sugar 2.5 cup white vinegar 2 cups hot water 1 tsp salt Refrigerate overnight Viet Mayo Add 2 egg yolks to a mixing bowl and whisk vigorously. Add 1 tsp of oil at a time until mayo consistency is thick and fluffy.

**RECIPE** Nui Bo Luc Lac (shaking beef with noodles). This recipe is one that you must try. I get a lot of requests for this recipe and have posted it a couple times, but here goes again for those who missed it. Marinade ⚪ 1 Tbsp Sugar ⚪ 1.5 Tbsp Oyster Sauce ⚪ 1 Tbsp Shallots ⚪ 1 Tbsp Garlic ⚪ 1 Tbsp Regular Soy Sauce ⚪ 1 Tbsp Fish Sauce ⚪ 1 tsp Thick Soy Sauce (important) ⚪ 1 tsp Sesame Oil ⚪ 1 tsp Black Pepper Ingredients ⚪ 1 lb steak - 1" cubed (prefer ribeye or ny, I cut my steaks smaller because my son likes them bite sized) ⚪ Elbow mac or other noodle ⚪ 1/2 red onion, chopped ⚪ 1 Tbsp Ketchup ⚪ 1 Tbsp Butter ⚪ 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce ⚪ 1 Tbsp Cooking oil Instructions 1. Mix all ingredients for marinade together until combined. 2. Marinate the steak with marinade for at least 30 min 3. Meanwhile, boil macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside. 4. In a WOK on high heat, add chopped onions and saute until fragrant. 5. Making sure wok is HOT, add steak to wok, reserving any excess marinade. Cook using "shaking" motion. DO NOT OVERCROWD. Cook in batches if necessary. 6. Once the steak is cooked to desired doneness, add remaining sauce to thicken. 7. Add in the macaroni and ketchup, butter, oyster sauce and stir fry until noodles and sauce are incorporated. Noodles should've absorbed all the sauce and shouldn't be too wet. 8. Adjust to taste by adding more oyster sauce, fish sauce, ketchup, etc. 9. Remove from heat and Enjoy!
DIY Bibimbap for ✌ in a cast iron to get the rice nice and crispy. Love mixing all these flavors together. So bomb!
My original post got deleted the other day 🙄 so I'm reposting. Lots of people asked about the equipment used and the recipe for this pad see ew from my story a few weeks ago. Here it goes again. GRIDDLE I use it almost everyday! It is my most utilized kitchen tool/appliance. Cooking and clean up is a freaking breeze. I have the "Blackstone Adventure Ready 22" Griddle with Hood, Legs, Adapter Hose". I bought it at Walmart and have seen it for as low as $99, but I think its $179 right now. It's perfect for my little family and can feed a party of 20 ish. They come in lots of different sizes so get one that fits your needs. @blackstoneproducts PAD SEE EW RECIPE NOODLES: You should always use the fresh ho fun noodles (flat fat rice noodles). You can find them in asian markets. If you can't then use the dry fat rice noodles but I wouldn't recommend it because pad see ew isn't what it is without the fresh noodles. Break up the noodles into strands before using. SAUCE: I dont measure so adjust to taste. It's guesstimate 2T sugar and 1T dark soy sauce, 1T soy sauce, 1Toyster sauce, 1T fish sauce, pepper to taste. PROTEIN: Is using shrimp or tofu, no need to marinate. Other proteins, use soy sauce to season. VEGGIES: Minced shallots and garlic, Chinese Broccoli and/or other vegs. INSTRUCTIONS: Add oil to wok (or griddle) and add shallots and garlic and fry until fragrant. Add protein and cook until done. Set aside. Heat oil til SMOKY HOT. This is what gives pad see ew its smoky charred flavor. Add noodles and pour sauce over. "Wok" the noodles until coated through. Add back the meat, veggies and "wok". Make space to fry scrambled eggs and mix into the noodles once it gets cooked on one side. Enjoy.
Getting a little better at making Banh Cuon after rolling a whole tray of them. Had no shrooms but made do with what I had cuz I didn't want to run back to the store. 😷 I used a regular nonstick pan to make it so you dont need special tools. So easy!
My trip to Malaysia has officially been canceled yall! 🥺 So here I go reminiscing about the last trip I was on just a lil more than month ago. LAOS! This has got to be the most beautiful waterfall I've ever been to. Tiers upon tiers of swimmable pools filled with Gatorade Blue Frost water to cool you down. It's a main draw for tourists coming to Laos and for good reason! If you missed out on my trip, check out the highlights for good food and laugh at our goofy shenanigans. Happy Friday!
Vermicelli bowl with lemongrass chicken and eggrolls. Not being able to eat out has helped us save a ton of $dough$, but I feel like I've been eating twice as much. 😂 Dear Gym... please open soon.
Mama knows we can't resist Mì Quảng Noods! Perfect timing cuz it's cold today! Thanks mama! 😘🥰 @julienguyen736
