Fine, I yield. Starting today, I’ll accept the fact that fall is here for good this year. For me autumn isn’t a season of gloom and decay, though. For me it’s that time of year when I turn inwards to find my way back to basics, ground myself and charge energy levels by reading a lot, lighting scented candles en masse, taking walks in the rain and enjoying the beautiful, almost magical light that this season brings us. For my photography, it’s my favorite outdoor season. It’s almost as if the camera only needs me to push the button whereas nature provides me with magical images on its own, somehow readily delivered to my camera. I do find a charm in all seasons but must admit I love them all when they begin but am happy to hop on to the next season after a few weeks of puppy love directed towards whatever wonders nature brings us this time. 🍂

This was taken a week ago at the opening party of @slowfashionweeksthlm ☺️ Judging by my facial expression, I must’ve shaken hands with someone I’ve been admiring since I was a kid but as the entire guest list was one of the best ones in ages it might have been just about anyone amazing present that night. Maybe @agnetaelmegard standing next to me has a clue? 🤔 It was an evening full of joy, fun, meeting both old and new friends, and above all, the launch of the (probably) World’s first fashion week for slow fashion in whatever form it takes from reused, upcycled, recycled, second hand or vintage. We need more of this to make the move towards more sustainable consumption and I hope @slowfashionweeksthlm will become a biannual fashion week! 💚 📸: @vtryde

So, what does a vegetarian like me do in a meat restaurant like @erth.se anyway? Well, I was there to check it out, learn more about it, and taste their yummy (in my case vegetarian) dishes in order to be able to recommend the place for meat loving visitors to Stockholm! Thankfully I had a colleague with me to try out the more meaty options. Owner of ERTH Hötorgshallen, Marcus Josberg, gave us a thorough background of how and why they focus on quality meat, where it comes from, and different ways of enjoying it. Thank you for an inspiring lunch and for educating us in all things meaty. 🥩 P.S. Allegedly the best steak tartar in town in slide 2. It’s a seared steak tartar with “Västerbotten” cheese, hazelnuts, pickled onions, and dijoinaisse.

On Sundays Snoopy and I tend to summarize the week while preparing for the coming one. We try to learn from our mistakes without getting too much anxiety from them and focus on the good parts. After all, we all make mistakes on a daily basis. If they’re high impact ones there might be both remorse and making amends in my Sunday ritual but it also involves triumphant claims to not repeat them. Life is a learning curve and on Sundays I go through my grades in order to be prepared for what’s to come. Learning from this past week, I’m listening to my mind and body and will slow down a notch and allow myself to recuperate and reflect. Apart from a couple exceptions, I have grounded myself to staying at home, lighting scented candles, reading books and just enjoying the present. There’s beauty in autumn and I will embrace it. ☺️ Hope you’re ending your week pleasantly and entering the next one with whatever goals you’ve set for yourself. Remember your goals are up to you and only for you to fulfill, so feel free to set the bar as high or low as you want to, as long as they align with your mental and physical state of mind and being. 🤍

What’s that one culinary region you’ve missed out on? In my case it’s the Filipino cuisine. Therefore I headed over to @kantobistro.se with an open mind and was most positively surprised! ☺️ Born from Noels Popups and Chef Elle Phillip’s partnership, this venture is a getaway to authentic Filipino cuisine. 🇵🇭 This cultural haven embodies Filipino hospitality and invites you to an unforgettable culinary journey with authenticity, taste, and Filipino charm. Chef Elle was the most generous host of the evening and went beyond to satisfy everyone, whether it was flipping over a meat main to a sizzling veggie one or offering the same dazzling experience for your tastebuds with or without alcohol. This was my first Filipino experience but most certainly not my last. As a scented candle junkie it was an honor to be part of the launch of the scented candles from @odestockholm 🤍 Ode Stockholm is a passion project of @larsdotterolsson and the products are divided in different collections, named after memories, which are anchored in a specific time, place, event or person in mind. The chef at @restaurang.prinsen had composed a menu in which each course harmonized with the scent presented before serving the spectacular food. This intimate launch event was full of love, knowledge, memories and associations to them. Yesterday Seiko hosted an event to introduce new models with a huge focus on the environment. Apart from enjoying the sunny weather on fully sun energy powered boats from @x_shore we naturally got to see the new watches. While we were out boating around, some divers picked up junk from the sea floor that we helped to pick up once safely back on shore again. Been back to work full time for a week now and although it might not look like it judging from my pose, I’m actually thrilled to be back to routines, meeting my colleagues and working on projects that make me happy and leave me with a feeling of fulfillment. With that said, I’m still dead beat when I get home after a day’s work but it’s a positive feeling, an uplifting one. I am lucky to have a dreamy job and the proof of that is the fact that I already look forward to tomorrow instead of being frustrated the weekend went by so fast. I’ve never thrived this well anywhere else and am so thankful to get to do what I do. ☺️ A wise friend once said it doesn’t matter what you do for a living as long as it pays enough to actually live life in your time off.
