For the past 3 years it has been my honor along with all of our volunteers serving the elderly in our Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx @nychagram community along with Philly and Los Angeles. This weeks volunteers were @planegodrich and my father who came out of retirement to help us pack over 110 emergency food packs. During the middle of the lockdowns in 2020 @rebelarmyruns started going out every other day and operating every week to bring people food, diapers, feminine products and bonus items like hats, water, hand sanitizer, gloves, pedialyte & other essentials. We weren’t defying the orders to virtue signal or gratuitously break the lockdowns. People had nothing. They still have nothing. I see elders, mothers, children in that line every week. It’s tough sometimes. But it’s tougher for them so I push on. I am not into poverty tourism so I always tried to post as few pictures of the people themselves while we get the line going. However I know that we have to document these things now that we have become an official 501c3. Thank you for everything you as my supporters made this possible. I had fundraisers for distasters, orphanages and famines in places #Afghanistan #Haiti #PuertoRico #Palestine #Yemen #Iraq #Mexico and many other places. Thanks for helping us here too. I don’t have to many multi-millionaires and billionaires who love my music or we wouldn’t have been running this thing on fumes for 3 years but I appreciate the average ordinary person who gives a little. I’m inspired every day by average ordinary people who have made it to 60, 70, 80 and higher here in NYC. Old age isn’t for the faint of heart. The truth is that most of these people have no idea I make music. This one elderly lady at the food drops at the Grant Houses asked me how old I was. I told her and she laughed. She said I was lying because I didn’t have any grey hair. I told her to read a book called “Tuck Everlasting.” She came back and shyly asked me if I was really Immortal. lol

So let’s talk about it. Women abuse men all the time. Sometimes they abuse boys too. These women should be held just as accountable as the men who abuse women. The system that protects them be it liberal or conservative should be torn down. This is insane. This is the problem with these fake alpha male podcasts. In an effort to teach young men how to be “manly” and not get taken advantage of by women they pretend to know anything about society. Listen to these cowards, people who would cry and call police if a man was in the same room pressing them. These clowns tell women that are being abused to “endure” when they couldn’t endure one moment of a man applying pressure to them. These men, who are softer than baby shit, are suggesting that domestic violence is just something people should live with?! I don’t know who anyone here is, but I imagine they are they a whole ass adult sitting there saying nothing and then I realized that the premise of these shows is that domestic violence is somehow something that “feminism created” and that abuse is “over-exaggerated” rather than being under reported. This is patently false. I’m hearing from people that clip is out of context and cut up then they blamed the girls on the show for having poor morals. Whoever these misguided girls are you can’t compare that to a group of grown men seriously downplaying domestic violence which is very real. Things like this is why I have to take a second to think about how instead of just being reactionary we can do explain to young people that being a man is about being a provider not just of physical protection but protecting the people you love from the worst parts of yourself. These people got fat while everyone else starved on the street. Now they’re out here spreading fake knowledge. It would be just as sad to see them pressed with half of the energy that these little girls who suffer from domestic abuse are getting they would have a moment of clarity. But I’m not a bully or a criminal anymore. I’m a law abiding citizen. It’s not exaggerated, it’s not a punchline it’s the sad reality of a failing society. Harry Belafonte 1929-2023. He was a lot to a lot of people. But to me he was someone that just believed in me. He always liked my aggressive way of being and told me that every movement needs a thinker and a hammer and that I had the good luck and the misfortune of being both. Haha! I always smile when I think about the whimsical words he wove. He also gave me my first job as a teacher alongside my friend @msladyjustice1 at Horizon Juvenile Center. The writing workshop we designed was a success. I have so many memories. I had a stalker once and Harry’s bodyguard caught her trying to sneak into a private party. lol I remember the wise words him and @isiahthomas shared with me one night about the necessity of taking the message way beyond music. I remember how he would imitate our 90’s slang slang that he said was repurposed slang from other eras (ex: fly from gadfly) it was funny to hear him joke and say things like “what up son?” Haha. I asked him about the now famous conversation that he had with a young Martin Luther King Jr. Where Martin turned to Mr. B with such a heavy sadness in his eyes. When asked if he was alright he somberly responded to Mr. B “I fear that I am integrating my people into a burning house.” He always reminded me that Revolution isn’t pretty sexy or cool, it’s grinding, jarring, tedious and heartbreaking. Those words will always stay with me. As long as I live. Thank you Mr. B for always telling it like it is. The world is a little less without you. There’s going to be a gathering tomorrow at 6pm at Lincoln Center. If you can make it please come. I’m going to find the flyer and post it in my story. May the ancestors guide your path. My cousin and a close elder to my family have also recently passed but I reserve my comments about those because it’s honestly harder to talk about. Through Chinese diplomacy, not through US pressure, the war in Yemen is coming to an end. This war, that the US could have ended any day it wanted to has concluded. The war itself was barbaric and caused a famine that killed hundreds of thousands of people. It’s catastrophic conditions also left 4 million people displaced including 1.5 million children. While not being able to confront the US military directly the Chinese have been using all of their diplomacy to end conflicts that have caused death and murder but still benefit US politically. Some will always question the motivation of the Chinese government and the CCP. But it’s ironic that their motivation was that war is bad for business and the Trump/Biden regime here was funding the war because it was good for business. The US has just lost a huge diplomatic war. So what’s next for China, solving Israel and Palestine, hosting the peace summit for Ukraine and Russia? No matter who you are the internet is undeafeted. It’s also a theater for a puppet show. A badly scripted pilot, that many say should have been canceled last season. The ratings are all doctored and now we have an ending worse than the last season of Game of Thrones. lol Like most Americans everything on the news seems like a distraction. A wedge not to “create division.” I actually think that’s a vast oversimplification and a clownish way not accepting that division was already “created” by a group of people but rather realizing that those wounds that never healed are being exploited and magnified. That said it’s hard not to cynical about anything that the mainstream media runs with. Ironically even though Mr. Trump didn’t start any new wars like his fans always scream he still participated in the existing ones and committed war crimes. Moabs, coups etc. I think whenever I bring this up I attract a group of very sensitive people who defend this clown. To be fair though, when I go on Twitter and lambast the Biden administration and corrupt fake liberalism that has co-opted countless grassroots movements I attract the same group of sensitive people who believe they are diametrically opposed to the others. Well let’s be fair then. These war crimes were committed by other Presidents, for sure. Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan. Etc Bombings, torture facilities, but that’s not what Teflon Don is actually in court for. Getting a blowjob is not why Clinton was impeached. He lied about it. Cheating on every woman he’s ever had his life isn’t what Trump or Clinton were on trial for. It’s for paying people off which is as American as apple pie. The United States isn’t less corrupt than the rest of the world. It’s actually so much more corrupt that if you don’t correctly follow the procedures for murder, bribery and theft you could be arrested. Smh But actually ordering the killing of people is not what any of them are going to trial for, just keep that in mind while you discuss things civilly.
