One thing about us, we dream big but we put in the work to make those dreams a reality ❤️ Second pic is of us in 2017. We were still dating, @johnjewett3 was working as a clinical dietician and I had been working at an animal hospital. During this time we created a “Five year vision/goal board”. On this board we put down everything we wanted to accomplish. Amongst the goals a few were: -Win a pro show -Education Site up and running -Compete at the Olympia @johnjewett3 has won pro shows, will go on to the Olympia for the 4th time and has created an education site that has impacted the way so many people approach coaching. On top of that, I have also won a pro show, gone to the Olympia and he has taken me there. I call this a bonus goal because it wasn’t on our original board 😝 Looking back at this goal board I’ve come to realize we have exceeded EVERYTHING we set out to do! (The only thing left to check off is our 5 year wedding anniversary extravaganza trip. Which will be coming up at the end of this year 🥳) I’ve also come to realize we could dream SO much bigger. Dream as big and wild as you possibly can because given enough grit, you can accomplish anything. I guess this was my long winded post to congratulate @johnjewett3 on his win this past weekend but to also congratulate him on winning in life. You have been my champion every single day since I met you at the gym and you asked me if I wanted to go get some IHOP afterwards 🥰❤️⭕️

What’s crazy about prep is, the longer you’re in it and the leaner you get the more your perception about what “lean” is changes 🫠 Like I could look at this video right after taking it and still be like “Meh, not lean enough” it’s not until I’m out of prep that I can look back and realize I was in fact, just crazy. There’s a lot I enjoy about the process of bodybuilding. I love the structure, the routine, I thrive in the challenge of reaching new levels I never thought possible for myself but at the same time there’s things I truly do not enjoy. Things that I’m still trying to unravel quite honestly. 😵‍💫 This year will be a bit different but as always I look forward to reaching for the stars ✨

It used to be just the two of us in my crappy little apartment and when I say crappy, I mean it. I’m still not over the fact that my entire fan fell from the ceiling one night when I was going to sleep. It was right over my bed 😮‍💨 Could have been the end of me 😅 We’ve come a long way baby 🥰♥️

Check in days 🫠 Currently: 152lbs Still: 5’2 (starting to think this isn’t changing 🥲) Training 3x per week, all lower sessions. Thinking about introducing some upper body work back into my split just for enjoyment purposes. Food was increased a few weeks ago: Training Days: 216P/303C/54F Off Days: 212P/145C/63F Plus one untracked meal during the week. Which is usually sushi 🤗

During the start of my fitness journey, I dedicated years to haphazardly following various booty influencer workouts. I constantly incorporated resistance bands into EVERY exercise, always attempting to reinvent my routine and did a ridiculous amount of junk volume. Unfortunately, my early progress suffered as a result. 🥲 From initially working out six to seven days a week, spending two-three hours in the gym, and adopting new, random routines weekly, I transitioned to a more structured approach. Now, I train three days a week, spend 60-90 minutes per session, and follow the same program for several months (if not longer). This shift significantly improved my progress and recovery. Don’t be enticed by what’s new, fun and trendy and believe that frequently changing workouts leads to better results. I can attest that this isn’t the ideal approach for building muscle and gaining strength. Yes, I got in (better) shape, and yes, I built (some) muscle. However, reflecting on my fitness journey, I realize I could have optimized my newbie gains more effectively in those first years if I had followed a more strategic training approach. I could have achieved similar, if not better, results with less effort. I share this experience to help newcomers to the gym. Here are some key takeaways: 👉🏼You don’t need to train every day, have at least one rest day 👉🏼For **most** body parts one to three exercises is plenty for development 👉🏼Prioritize adequate rest periods, 2 to 3 minutes. MAKE SURE output is high in all your work sets 👉🏼Stick to the same program for at least 12-16 weeks 👉🏼Focus on progressively increasing weight, reps and perfecting execution, every time you step into the gym I hope that helps someone out there who’s brand new to the gym or is still in their beginner phase 🤗 Happy New Year, let’s achieve every goal we set out to do! 🥳

I’m not an expert but I can share my experiences in dealing with issues related to deranged hormone levels. From being on hormonal birth control for years and not understanding the repercussions, a general feeling of being “off”, brain fog, fatigue, not getting the results from the work I was doing in and out of the gym, and eventually becoming a competitor which has it’s own struggles….. the list goes on. I’m always open to sharing my experiences if it means helping other women with issues I’ve dealt with. I know women who have had hormone related issues for so long they accept it as their ‘normal’, when it’s not. We all deserve to feel our best and function our best. Let 2024 be the year where you make a change. @marekhealth is here to help you optimize your health through lab work, health coaching, nutrition, supplementation all the way to medical treatment and care 🥰 I’ve been through their entire process so if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me or directly to @marekhealth Cheers to 2024 being our best year 🥂

Bury me in overalls 💀 The last time I wore overalls someone told me the only people that should wear overalls are babies who don’t know how to dress themselves and people who do dirty work. I’m not trying to be fashionable ok, just comfy 😅
