MET GALA… ok it’s been and gone, but I Just wanted to touch a little more on the look that stole the show for me ⚡️✨💥- my absolute favourite of the night was #blakelively. For me she really got the memo & merged the histroical theme with fashion - here’s a little breakdown of the look, all the hidden details, including a clutch with her children's initials. 💗 Blake Lively took inspiration from the Statue of Liberty for her Met Gala look. The actress, who was a co-chair for the 2022 Met Gala alongside husband Ryan Reynolds, arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday in a custom @versace that changed from bronze to teal to mirror the oxidation of the famous New York City landmark. The front of the dress was an ode to the Empire State Building & the train an ode to another famous landmark, the Grand Central Terminal! 🚂 The green side of the train was embroidered with a celestial map inspired by the same 12 zodiac constellations that are painted on the ceiling of Grand Central Station in New York City. Lively's tiara by @lorraineschwartz and jewellery incorporated the same bronze and green theme of her dress, nails were painted with bronze and green, just like her dress. STUN! Nails by @enamelle 💅🏼 Blake shared a photo of her @judithleiberny clutch that was made to look like the Brooklyn Bridge on her Instagram story, the back of the clutch was designed with the Chrysler Building in mind. She also had a second clutch that she wore later in the night. It was designed to look like the old Hippodrome Theater in New York City. A photo on Instagram shows that the clutch also had the letters B, J, R, and I on the top of it(her husband & children’s initials). Cuteness!! Overall the dress took 600 hours to make!!
