If you got my MF Insider this week you’ve already seen these pics 👀🏡 (if you didn’t — get on the list at the link in my bio!!) 🥰 Have you ever gone through a season of life where… all of a sudden, things that once worked fine just don’t work for you anymore? Almost as if you’ve suddenly outgrown the version of yourself you’ve always known, but the “new model” isn’t ready to ship yet? That’s where I’m at now. For well over a year, we’ve been in a major home renovation. This house is very special to me. Perfectly positioned high amongst the trees 🌲 (feels like a treehouse!)… a short drive from farms, town, and the ocean 🌊— it’s my ultimate happy place. For a few years now — I’ve been craving more SPACE, more privacy, a better functioning kitchen, and lots more room for magic and creativity. ✨ The way I knew? I found myself getting cranky. Irritated. Angry even — like an animal that has outgrown her cave. (HINT: Never ignore your dissatisfaction. It’s not always a sign of “ungratefulness.” More often, it’s your Higher Self… your Divine Self nudging you to evolve and grow!) But as the physical renovation of my space continues, I’ve found a strange parallel happening in other areas of my life too. ✨My boundaries are suddenly stronger. 💌My truth-telling abilities are sharper. 💗My heart feels both wiser and softer. Having the courage to admit to myself that what was once good was no longer “good enough” (in terms of my physical space)... sparked a renovation domino effect on my mental, emotional, and spiritual environments, too. If any part of you is feeling like you’re ready for a little “renovation” in your life, journal on these questions. See what comes up for you: 👉 If you’re being 100% honest, where are you craving something better in your life? 👉 What else could be possible in this area? (Hint: If other people have figured it out, you can too!! They’re inspiration that it’s possible!) 👉 What’s one small step you can take now to start your own “renovation” project? Imagine that your heart 💗and mind are beautiful, physical spaces. Like your closet, there are only so many items that can fit in there at any one time. Now here’s the best thing about these spaces— YOU CHOOSE WHAT YOU ALLOW IN. This takes discipline, of course. But every day is a new chance to empty out anything negative you’ve been holding onto. Stress, anger, irritation (from a conversation that went sour from days or weeks ago), disappointment, fear, anxiety, nervousness — whatever negativity might be taking up space —YOU can get it the heck out of there right now. 🔥 If the space in your mind and heart is even *partially* filled up with negativity, it’s stealing valuable space from more nourishing items like joy, love, compassion, appreciation, creativity, curiosity, etc. (You get the idea - keep thinking of that limited space in your closet 👖) Don’t allow negativity to poison your life. And never let the negativity of yesterday sour the sweetness of this new day. Protect what you allow to take up valuable space in your beautiful heart & mind. 💛
