Fun with my 10 year old daughter that jumped onto my mat over the summer and wanted to learn seaweed legs. Being a dancer (and a hell of a good one), she nailed it pretty quick. . Seaweed legs in @aloyoga with the mini. Her legs may look long but she’s still so tiny compared to others her age.

Who cares! - Use blocks to “lengthen” your arms. - Or use a block under your forehead to steady yourself in crow. Day 2 of the #NaughtyOrNiceYogi2023 is Supported Headstand. These are my top 5 tips… 1: Use a wall behind you if you’re scared to fall. There is no shame in being safe. The only thing to remember is that you are going up into a headstand, not kicking up onto the wall. The wall is only there in case you need it. 2: Forearms should be touching your head. Don’t let them splay out too far. You want 80% of your weight on your forearms… if not more! 3: Your core is key. The minute you let that go… TIMBER! 4: If you’re working on pressing… think about pressing firmly down into your clasped hands and moving the hips back. 5: Find the entry that works for you. Yoga teach Laura from 2014 would say not to kick up. I take that back now… especially for my friends with tight hamstrings. Gentle kick ups are fine but you want to find the least amount of power needed to get your hips over.
