There was a couple of chips inside, there was no sauce and it was wrapped so tightly. The lamb was awesome and the vegetables were fresh. The cons were that it was very thin and there weren’t that many fillings. It was a very small meal and as I said earlier, different from every other kebab I have had. It’s been a ridiculously long time since I’ve had a HSP and it was definitely well overdue. I went to Adams Kebabs and ordered a Large HSP with Garlic, Barbecue and Chilli Sauce. Every chip that entered my mouth was crispy, the meat was great except the fact that it was just a tad over cooked and the consistency between sauces was on point. The reason I marked down the customer service was because I did ask for no cheese on my HSP and it came out with cheese on it. A simple error but besides that, they were nice people. Would return as it gave me a feed and a half. The pros included that chips were seasoned well and were very flavoursome. The cons included that the lamb needed to be shaved a bit better as there were huge chunks. Naz Kebab house was my last stop during my Queensland trip. I ordered a HSP with garlic, BBQ and sweet chilli sauce. The pros include that it was quick to come out but the cons do outweigh the pros. The meat was of terrible quality and was also cold which meant it didn’t melt the cheese that I didn’t ask for. Cheese should have to be specified if wanted as it is traditionally asked for and kebab shops should not assume a customer wants it. The sauce was also quite watery and didn’t have much flavour. Kebab Nation is a new store that has recently opened up in Watsonia and I was absolutely shocked at the quality. After having a terrible HSP from the last place I went to, this was the biggest/best improvement I could've asked for. I ordered a large mixed HSP with extra meat accompanied by garlic, sweet chilli and barbecue sauce. They had around 5-6 staff members working which is normally unheard of at any kebab place and my HSP was served in under 60 seconds which would be record timing. The meat wasn't the normal processed meat you get from most kebab shops, this was the most premium meat you can find. It was juicy and full of flavour and tasted good with/without the sauce. They also loaded it up with a ridiculous amount of meat which is what I like. The chips were incredibly crispy and had the perfect amount of salt to it and to top it all off, the sauce was also fantastic. This would definitely be in my top 3 kebab places that I have tried. Found a new place close home but unfortunately I will not return for a number of reasons. I ended up ordering a mixed HSP with extra meat accompanied by garlic, BBQ and sweet chilli. The meat was drier then a desert which hasn't rained in 6 years, the sauce tasted more watery than the Goulburn Murray Water Reserve, the attempt to decipher what was lamb and what was chicken was harder than cracking the Di Vinci code due to how burnt they both were and to top it off, the service was slower than a conversation with my mother. The only pro that I could find was the chips were crunchy but that was the least to expect after a 15 minute wait in an empty restaurant. Whilst on Uni games down in Geelong, I thought it would be ideal to venture out in search for a HSP. I ended up going to Mustafas Kebabs and my first thought was that it was extremely pricey. I hadn't eaten all day and was extremely hungover so I ordered a large HSP with extra meat and for the sauces I had Garlic, Sweet Chilli and Barbecue. It came to $22 which was quite expensive. I could see why it was expensive when the HSP was delivered to me and it was enormous. Normally I'm a trooper and I manage to finish my HSP's but this was next level stuff. The chicken was amazing and the lamb was pretty good, both extremely juicy. The chips were crunchy and crisp and they are the only kebab shop I've been to where they asked if I wanted chicken salt on the chips and I highly recommend it. I went to Endeavour Kebabs and ordered a large mixed HSP with extra meat and it came with garlic, barbecue and sweet chilli sauce. I was impressed with how much meat was put on the HSP, couldn't even finish it because there was so much. The sauce was also good with strong taste and the perfect amount. The cons include that the chips were not cooked well and some were still semi-frozen. The chicken was also too thick and could've been sliced better and both the lamb and chicken were extremely oily which I was not impressed by. Went back to Biggie Smalls Kbabs in Fitzroy to try their A-RAB Kebab this time round. It came to $14.50 which I thought was extremely expensive for a kebab. I always say to people that this store is pretty much a gourmet kebab shop as their kebabs differ from your average kebab. This kebab had Lamb, smoked hummus, pickled onion, mint, lettuce and garlic yogurt. The kebab lacked fillings and definitely needed to be packed with more. They put substantially more meat on this kebab compared to my last visit which was a bonus so it sort of made up for the lack of fillings but the meat was slightly over cooked. The bread was different to your standard kebab but it was amazing. I probably would return but only if I was searching for a good quality small feed.
