Today we are celebrating this sacred time of winter solstice, where we welcome the return of the light. In a way, each of the seasonal shifts is like a collective right of passage that marks a new beginning for each of us. On this day I am excited to share with you something that I have been dreaming of for many years and finally get to share it with you 🌹 Here is the first edition of MushWomb: a rejuvenation retreat. A space for the women to Reclaim, Re-wild, & Remember​ 💞 Working with the cycles of the seasons is an opportunity where we can be with and honor all that was and make space for all that is to come. This can be tender or joyous. Letter to my present self✨🌻💛 Dear wild woman, I see you, I feel you, I honor you. I can see the work you have done to get to where you are today. I can see how hard you have tried And how hard you try to be the best leader try to be the best partner, try to be the best friend. I can see how hard you try for others but can you try that hard for yourself? I feel your pain, your heartbreak, your suffering. And you have endured so much. But I also feel your love, passion, inspiration, and light. I can feel all of you, all of your being, all of your existence. And how beautiful is it to feel all of that? I honor you for never giving up, For never giving up on yourself, For never giving up on humanity, For never giving up on life… even though you wanted to, and not just wanted to but tried to end this life. I honor you for being fearless, For connecting to your Wild, For reconnecting to your natural self, For discovering your sovereignty, For rediscovering your sensuality. I honor you for choosing love above all. For choosing to live under your conditions not societies, your teachers or your parents conditioning. Working for women, with women, about healing women runs deep within my heart & soul. I can remember when this journey started. I was 14 years old when I wrote my first research paper about the negative effects media has on young women’s growth and development… so I made this my passion and my mission on this planet. To create safe spaces for women to grow, learn, connect, heal, and love themselves. Whether that be through physical or mental wellness ✨ For over 10 years I have been doing this… holding women circles, group meet ups, health classes and workouts, medicine ceremonies all for the womban. In the last year or so I’ve acknowledged that I too still have so much learning to do and I’ve humbled myself to come back to the role of the student… I’ve connected with some amazing women to guide me on my path. I just completed my psychedelic leadership course with @livefreelaurad and about to hop over to the Netherlands to support @natasja_pelgrom in @awaken_the_medicine_within Womens Medicine Retreat. Awaken The Medicine Within provides a women only container where we go beyond the Maiden, Mother, Crone, & Queen archetypes, it’s time to transcend the personal and collective relationship within patriarchal ideology. We invite you to dismantle the polarity from within, and embrace your Sovereignty, Lineage and Divine Intuition. This is a place for deep healing and transformational work. Freedom begins when you loosen the grip from your throat. ~ @thebrookesolis ✨ I used to be afraid to use my voice, to speak in public, to express to others how I truly feel. In primary school I used to make myself sick & purge through pills and sticking objects down my throat to avoid presentations or public speaking. I stayed in relationships with lovers, businesses, and friendships longer than they served because I felt a blockage in my throat for years, that continued to build up resentment & fear the more I held back my pain, my boundaries, my desires. Now here we are today, breaking down those walls of pain, breaking open my voice, my vulnerability, by expressing and being exactly how I want to be in every moment. I never would have thought to be standing on stages, holding space for groups of women, and nurturing everlasting, unconditional open relationships.
