Today is a special day because I'm sharing this post with all of you, who I at one point thought I'd never get the chance to connect with again. After 6 years of battling a very complicated chronic illness that left me with unsuccessful medical treatments, false hopes & complete loss of control, it became too much for my body to handle. I was defeated & the more I deteriorated, the more my entire being began to shutdown. No matter how hard I tried, the ability to see a future for myself almost became impossible. Then as I went into this New Year almost dying, coming close to losing this precious thing we call life, became a reality for me that changed everything. Although it was traumatic, surviving it gifted me with a new outlook on what truly matters and what I am meant to overcome in my lifetime. My perspectives & beliefs that were once clouded by my physical reality became crystal clear. All I could think of were the things I haven't yet done to leave my imprint which will in some way make a positive change & impact on as many other lives as I can. I promise that every individual on this earth will come to realize for themselves that what we choose to waste our time on, whether it's materialism, our "flaws", how others view us, worrying about other people's choices, drama, hatred, etc. will mean absolutely nothing in the end. Instead, all that will be of relevance is what you chose to take/learn from your experiences, the challenges you overcame, how you grew yourself from within & the impact you had on the planet along with every single person that crossed your path. There are no words for how grateful I am to still have my life today. Currently I've been working hard on healing from the damage that was caused & although I'll never fully be cured, I'm determined to keep on fighting to live. Thank you to those who didn't decide to leave, but instead patiently stuck with me. Whatever lies ahead I want you guys to remain apart of my journey & I can't wait to start sharing a connection with all of you again. After so long of being in the darkness of my chronic illness, for the first time I can finally see a future of light and optimism. I love you always ♥
