(tw: eating disorders) in the photo on the left I had just recovered from anorexia and had no confidence at all. I was at the lowest point of my life and I completely regretted gaining weight. I didn’t want to leave the house and used my arms as a shield, a way to hide myself. I had to have my hair half in my face so no one could “see how different my face looked” and an arm wrapped around me in pictures. The photo on the right was myself yesterday. If you were to tell 2019 me that I would have NO hair in my face and my arms at my SIDE?!? She would not have believed it. I still have negative thoughts about myself and my thoughts aren’t perfect. I never want to romanticize anything I’ve been through. I’m just so proud of myself for hiding less and less every year :’) It’s been a JOURNEY and I want to thank you all for supporting me every step of the way. I wish 2019 jessie could see how strong 2024 jessie is now 💗
