I am so excited to announce this project that I have been working on for almost 4 years now!! I had an idea back in 2019 to get a bunch of musicians together in one place and film a reality style competition show! AND IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING!! I have spent the last 6 months contacting people, booking the venue, working with sponsors, taking care of everyones travel, coming up with content ideas, hiring the film crew, hiring a chef etc… PHEW! Posting content to "get likes" and "stay relevant" is shallow and unfulfilling. The excitement from all the views and likes lose meaning over time and you'll find yourself just trying to chase the attention of others, but you'll never be satisfied, it will never be enough. You'll always want more and more attention. That stuff doesn't matter. What matters is having fun and making good memories with those around you. explore the world, take it all in, be there for those you love, and spend time sharing life with others. You don't need to let everyone know everything you are doing ALL the time. The truth is nobody cares as much as you, and you are depriving yourself from living in the moment. In moderation, social media is a very powerful tool, but use with caution. It is WAY to easy to get trapped into thinking your importance is determined by the number of followers, and likes that you have... and this is coming from someone with millions of followers, and over a billion views on content I have made over the years. Likes... views... analytics.. they don't validate you as a person. I've had so many conversations with other creators like me who have been doing this for years and 99% of them all say they are tired and need to take a break and fell out of love with making content because they are so overworked and burnt out, the joy is gone. It's been replaced by the algorithm machine that's never satisfied. In reality we are living in a time where people's attention span is and has been wildly shrinking due to the internet constantly shoving entertainment in your face at every turn in order to make more money from advertisers. The more they can keep you scrolling, the more money they make. Good for the corporation, TERRIBLE for the artist. Slow down.. make art that is meaningful to you, take your time and breathe. Everything will be fine if your likes and views go down while you work on something great. Things that are worth doing take time. Things that last will take time to create. Be kind to yourself. The ones that care will wait.
