We are so obsessed with our little man! And with photo shoots to capture our little mans growth! (Obviously we got amazing photos of his cute face but no social for this cute face) I could not recommend it enough. He’s in such a fun age. I love seeing his little (not so little) personality evolve lol. He has lots to say lately and has no problem telling you he doesn’t like something. He loves food like his parents 😝 He’s getting ready to crawl and I don’t know if we’re ready yet 😅 It’s crazy to see how much he’s grown. He was 9 days late and weighed only 6lbs 6oz and now, barely fitting into 6-12 month old clothes. He’s favorite things is having us all gathered around him. Already planning our next shoot! Today’s hair tips & tricks How to show up to your hair appointment ... I often get the question “is dirty hair better for your hair appointment?” and the answer is No! this has been a very old “myth” and it was based on that color used to be very harsh on the scalp. So having a little bit of your natural oils helped shield the scalp but that is no longer the case. The best way to come into your hair appointment is a day or two after washing. Too dirty and the color may not color or lighten hair properly since it has to break through the dirt and oil to get to the hair and once it reaches the hair it does not have as much strength. Freshly washed isn’t ideal either, you don’t want your scalp agitated nor do you want to come in with wet hair as I cannot work on wet hair, nor do we have time to dry it before starting your hair appointment. It’s okay to change your mind… When I was younger I would say I would never marry or have children. It just wasn’t for me. I loved being social. I was always out with friends. I wanted to be a platform artist for a big company. And one day I realized that was not want I wanted anymore.. I stopped going out. I focused on myself, health and my career. I then met my husband and were both said we didn’t want matar our children. 3 years of dating, we moved in with each other… Got a dog… Moved into a house… Got engaged… Got an other dog… Got married.. Became an independent stylist… Decided to have children… Had a baby! And even after having a baby my plans have changed. I wanted to be a full time business woman/mom and now I want to be a mom and a part-time business woman. I know I might change that in the near future and I’m okay with that. There’s different seasons of life. Don’t be afraid to charge the party you once thought you wanted. Don’t let past dreams stop you from having new ones! It has come to an end… Starting on February 7th, I’m back from maternity leave. It was definitely not a vacation but I enjoyed every second. I can’t believe how fast it flew by. So I took my hair extensions out… My hair extensions were so grown out because I couldn’t fathom sitting in at an appointment with a newborn. So I decided to take them out until I come back from maternity leave… And let me tell you!… I miss them so much! I’ve had my hair extensions since my wedding back in 2019 with no break. My hair is just as long as my extensions but my hair has NO BODY! The couple of times I’ve gone on date nights with my hubby my hair lasts styled for about 3 hours if that! And that just curls. No fullness no fluff like I looove. If you know me, I looove big lions mane Give. Me. All. The. Body! So because of that and because I have a new born, my hair lives on a bun or clip. I’ve also had to wash it more often 🙄 If having a child wasn’t enough to feel like not myself well not having my extensions has amplified that! My hair extensions have just become part of me!
