One of my favourite dishes introduced to me and made by my friend @fruitaquarian ๐ This dish is so good and filled with flavours and textures that are sure to satisfy. More details on how to make the dish below. Recipe from and filmed by @fruitaquarian ๐ซ Steamed rice cakes with coconut and lentil chutney Directions and Ingredients: For the rice cakes: Rinse very well and soak the following for 4 hours : - 1 cup Urid dhal - 3 cup of dosa rice or bryiani rice Then blend separately the drained lentils with 1/2 cup water. Blend drained rice with 2/3 cups water also you can add 1/2 tea spoons of fenugreek seeds and salt...not really necessary but helps fermentation. You have to blend it into a really fine paste and mix everything together. The original south indian recipe recommends mixing with your hands for better fermentation. I normally split the soaked rice in two and do one very fine blend and the other one a bit more coarse as the blender really struggles with the full quantity of rice so itโs better to split it. After you mix all the ingredients put it into an airlock container and leave it out for at least 24hrs. The longer you leave it the fluffier the idlis will be. I normally ferment 24hours outside and than put it in the fridge for another 24hours than use it to make idliโs. Using the special steamer is key. Coconut and lentils chutney (Also known as Thuvayal in S.India) 1/4 cup yellow split peas 1/2 tea spoon mustard seeds 2-3 curry leaves 2 dry chillies ( optional) Roast these ingredients in a pan on low fire until golden brown donโt overcook them. Then blend everything with the following ingredients 1 cup grated/chuncks mature coconut 1 small piece of ginger Juice from 2 table spoons of tamarind pulp soaked in 1/2 cup hot water for 10mins Soak some tamarind pulp in hot water. And there you have it!. A coconut lentil curry dip with fluffy steamed rice cakes. #veganrecipe #rawtill4 #veganmealplan

Let me explain more. Of course I do not recommend most of the sweet things I held up. To add, If you have excess fat in your blood stream then yes you still may have a sustained blood sugar when ingesting such sweet foods HOWEVER itโs a FAT metabolism issue NOT SUGAR. You are ingesting too much fat and itโs keeping your blood sugar elevated. You are designed to deal with a lot of simple sugars, you literally RUN on it but not a lot of fat at the same time. Youโve been lied to. Refined sugar has been unfairly demonised. It is not the cause of weight-gain or ill health. They are lies told by media and financially-invested individuals. Excess fat in the meal IS. Of course it is not as healthy as fruit as fruit has the full package but it can be an excellent healthy addition to your low fat meals. The body is very efficient at processing it as fuel. Just keep your dietary fat low and carbs high and in time you will stop binging and lose all the excess weight as I have. Isnโt it interesting that the term โFatโ is not only used to describe overweight people but also the word used to describe the macro with the most density? FAT. Excess FAT is making people FAT. What a concept, not a very hard one to grasp, however, fad starve-to-lose diets (that no one can maintain long term) like keto are confusing the general population. People under-eat drastically on keto and low carb diets to lose weight but what weight are they really losing? They are in such a severe calorie-deficit and state of carb depletion that they are mainly losing hydration (then muscle) as for every gram of carbs there is 3 grams of water needed for storage. So when you deplete the body of carbs you become severely dehydrated and lose healthy hydration quickly. Thatโs not a diet folks, thatโs hell.
