If I ever run out of ideas, I’m out of a job. I often doubt myself, and feel like I got lucky a few times, and my best work is behind me. So I’ve started to see inspiration and creativity as limited resources inside of me. But resources that replenish if given proper attention. Sometimes a specific song comes over the radio and instantly sparks an idea, other times I need to build with my hands for a few days (or months), or ride a board. But lately, I’ve been on a movie kick. There’s so many good ones out, but I’ve seen Knives Out 3x and I think it’s my fav of the year. Seeing how others tell stories, makes me fired up to create my own. You guys got any movie recommendations for me? 🏊🏻‍♀️: @jess.wandering Song by: Jon Brion

I got an email the other day from an aspiring photographer wanting to join my team. Maybe I should clarify… there’s no team here , just one person. My intent is not to scale an empire or put a dent in the universe . This is my personal journey and I can’t outsource the process . I’ve been on the road since my wife ghosted me in 2013.. I’ll never forget stepping out of that apartment. They didn’t give me a refund on that month, and it felt like the end of the world. Haven’t paid rent since . Couch hopping eventually led to the fetal position in the backseat. My back started hurting, so I got an air mattress and slept on the ground next to my corolla. With this setup I traveled thru 10 states, 10 countries all the way to South America. I had a year of lonely nights on the road. Often wondered what I was doing, and what was to come, but never questioned that it was where I needed to be. Under the stars in silence, face nuzzled close to my tire. I’ll never stop telling my story because I’m freaking proud of it. Put yourself first. What’s that thing you thought about as a kid? Mine was, “ I wonder how far this road goes?” We always turned off to get to where we had planned to go. But what if the only objective was to see what was at the far end? When I indulged I found the end near Panama City.. sold the car down there cause didn’t have enough money to make it home. I’ll be thinking about this on my death bed, with tears in my eyes. One road in, one road out. So it would seem... When you get to the oasis of Huacachina, there are buggies lined up, offering to take you further into the dunes. You can see twinkling lights in the distance of the people that took the sunset tour.

Made it out to the famous Kjerag boulder . I’ve stood on some sketchy cliffs in my day, and I have to say, this one felt pretty solid. Solid enough to set up my tripod on it and get slides 2 and 3. That waterfall is 715 m ( 2345 ft) . Slide 4: the road to the trailhead. Top left you can see some cars from hikers.

Spent 5 days walking around Amsterdam. Here’s some things I saw. 1. Iconic dancing houses in the city center. 2. Tiny cars, I want one. 3. Bikes, everywhere. 4. 11:30pm along the canals… city is still very much alive. 5. Chill cat. 6. Historic Movie Theater. I saw The Flash 6/10, then Asteroid City 7/10 . 7. Averaged 4 pastries a day. 8. A VW crumpled into a ball. Overall loved Amsterdam. Great place to chill between jobs.

I planned for weeks and have a lot on the itinerary… but nothing could prepare me for what’s around the bend out here in Norway. This spot was a last minute, “this road seems interesting wonder what’s down here” decision. Gonna be cruising around this country and seeing as much as possible for the next month. Recommendations welcome🙏🏼

Yosemite Valley is a year round destination… but mid May imo is the best overall. Not too crowded, high water flow, pleasant weather, long days with high sunlight. Here’s a few unedited iPhone clips from the past weeks. Locations: Mist Trail, Yosemite Falls Trail, Valley Loop Trail.
