Mother isn’t a role I adapted to easily. My first baby turned 10 the other week and it really threw me. 10 you guys. Where has the time gone. How did we get here so quickly 🥺😭 I feel like 10 is such a huge milestone too. Double digits! There’s just something that feels so big about it…. 🎉🎉🎉 1️⃣0️⃣ 🎉🎉🎉 ….and he just seems so grown up suddenly but then still such a little child at the same time. It’s messing with my head. With him getting older he’s starting to ask for more independence and freedom in making his own decisions, which obviously is so important for the child and their confidence in themselves, but gosh it’s a hard next step as a parent. I love that it’s my job as his mama to guide him, to stand beside him as he lives and learns but guys, he’s my first baby so I’m learning too and it’s hard! I remember when I thought newborn Raff was hard but it’s true what they say; bigger kids, bigger problems. Take me back!! They’re stunning (I’ll dig them up and share on stories) but at the time I really couldn’t see the beauty in myself, or my body. Fast forward 22 years, striking the same pose and the equally talented @elisedehaasdigital has captured me in the present time, 4 babies later, and just as beautifully. Oh the difference time can make. I look at these photos and instantly feel so proud of myself and my body.
