Ok it’s time for a little multi choice option scenario. Let’s say you’re about to pop in a hair mask, disrobe and then submerge your tired aching body in that beautiful warm water. Which of the following is most likely to occur. A). You spend the next 15 minutes blissfully zen, while your @bondiboost growth miracle mask works its magic. B). Your army of children burst through the door and cannonball into your zen about 30 seconds after the water stops running. Can you guess which one of the above☝🏻 was my scenario? If you guessed B then you’re a winner 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 but being a lemon into lemonade kinda girl, rather than let the extra company spoil my at home day spa I embraced it, rolled with it and reminded myself to lock the door next time 🔐👌🏻😂_ Three months of using @bondiboost HG range and you guys it‘s worth all the hype, totally lives up to the rave reviews. I’m so impressed with these products and especially love that they’re Aussie made, 100% vegan and cruelty free. They also have a 30 day money back guarantee if you don’t love their products, which I have no doubt you will. So if you’ve been on the fence, jump off, give them a shot and look forward to your best hair yet 💆🏼♀️💁🏼♀️ • • • • • #BoostYourRoots #BondiBoostPartner #babyknowlesnumberfour #fourthandfinal #secondtrimester #inspirepregnancy #mothershape #pregnancyzone #bumppic #bumpie #stylishbump #babybumplove #pregnancydiary #pregnancy_world #pregnancylife #pregnancydiary #bumpwatch #healthypregnancy #pregnantmama #bumplove #bumplife #expectingababy #babyontheway #preggobelly #pregnantandperfect #babybump #honestmothering #pregnanyselfie #ohheymama #babyfever
When you’re a little bit extra and can’t go to the grocery store without looking your best 💅🏻💁🏼♀️ I’m talking glitter bag, three-tiered tutu, and of course your brightest pair of gumboots. Then you get there and after spending so much time planning your outfit and getting ready you draw a blank and forget half of what you came for – yep, that’s me too babe 😉 Thankfully little mama takes after her big mama and always remembers the important things like stocking up on NAN A2 Stage 3 premium toddler milk drink ✔️ because we both know how important it is to fuel a little body with all the good stuff and NAN A2 Stage 3 contains high quality ingredients and important essential nutrients, such as iron and zinc to help support growth and development. Delilah is loving the addition of this premium milk drink as a supplement to her usual diet, and I am loving that incorporating just 2 serves per day provides her with an average of at least 50% of the recommended dietary intake of calcium, iron, zinc, iodine and vitamins B1, B2, C, D and E. Win / Win! #NANA2Toddler #NANToddlerPartner #Sponsored Note ** NAN A2 Stage 3 shouldn’t replace a varied diet. It’s specially formulated for toddlers that may not be getting all the energy and nutrients they need from their food.
On tonight’s edition of “parenting is fucking hard” there was drama in the high seas. Actually not only drama but emotion, tension, stress and tantrums. Oh man it was a doozy. If I could erase the hour and a half between 5:30pm-7pm believe me I would, but sadly I cannot so I will remain haunted by them. No exaggeration you guys my kids were on a mad trip tonight and it took its toll. So this is not a post to shame them or their behaviour, it’s about reminding everyone and myself that even though shit can hit the fan and parenting can be hard as hell, your children will eventually go to bed, there will be peace in the walls of your home and this will lead to all memory of said events being forgotten by which time you’ll be scrolling your camera roll and ohhh-ing and ahhh-ing over your darling little children and happier times of the past 🤗 Ah, parenting it’s a freaking riot isn’t it. Side note; this valance tee from @legoeheritage is on repeat right now, I love how you can wear it multiple ways. I’ve worn it out and dressed it causally here but I’ve also been wearing it tucked in and cropped for a different vibe. It’s all about versatility when it comes to the clothes I choose to wear 👌🏻 • • • • • #babyknowlesnumberfour #fourthandfinal #inspirepregnancy #pregnancyzone #bumppic #stylishbump #babybumplove #pregnancydiary #pregnancy_world #pregnancylife #pregnancydiary #bumpwatch #healthypregnancy #pregnantmama #bumplove #bumplife #babyontheway #preggobelly #pregnantandperfect #amotherslove #motherhoodalive #motherhoodandme #rawmotherhood #honestmothering #mothersunite #motherhoodunplugged #honestparenting #motherhoodjourney #motherhood_unveiled #honestlymothering
HBD BABY DADDY 🎉_ Thanks for standing by my side and going along with my plans to have alllll the babies. Thanks for working so hard to make sure we are provided for and living an abundant life. Thanks for keeping your cool with me when I’m completely irrational and dead stubborn. Thanks for making dinner and doing the dishes every night because you know I’m not going to do it. Thanks for keeping me grounded when I freak out about EVERYTHING. Thanks for believing in us, for loving me, loving our babies and being the glue that holds this family together. We do not have an instagramable bathroom, it’s so far from it actually. The most interesting thing about it is that we use filtered water for bathing, and I guess there’s some good light in there but apart from that nope, definitely not your gram worthy photoshoot type of bathroom. But you know what I don’t care, because my children aren’t going to remember the pretty decor, the perfect tiling or how this bathroom photographed. They’re going to remember all the fun they had crammed together in that small bath. The hell they caused their mum and dad almost every night by being too crazy with the water and near flooding the bathroom. They’re going to remember how even though their mum could think of so many other things she’d prefer to do at almost 6 months pregnant, like sit her her butt and rest her feet, she knows how much they love it when she bathes with them so into the bath she goes 💦_ And yes, Tabitha has a bandaid in her mouth, and Delilah has tattooed herself in sharpie #welcometoourjungle 🤪 • • • • • #myhappylife #happyfamilies #familyovereverything #babyknowlesnumberfour #secondtrimester #inspirepregnancy #amotherslove #motherhoodlens #motherhoodalive #motherhoodandme #theartofbeingamother #rawmotherhood #honestmothering #lifeasmama #mothersunite #theycallmemom #motherhoodunplugged #honestparenting #happyselves #littlefamiliesofig #littlepiecesofchildhood #childhoodmoments #motherhood_squares #motherhoodrocks #motherhoodinspired #motherhoodjourney #motherhood_unveiled #mommybloggers #honestlymothering
I’m bringing sexy back 🎼 with a side of eye bags and sleep deprivation. Exhaustion is real over here, but admittedly I’m partly to blame because I spend most nights sitting on the couch bingeing Love Island UK. Yes, Love Island I know but I.JUST.CANT.STOP. I hit a brick wall yesterday, came home from work, napped until 6pm, woke up, ate some dinner and was back in bed by 9pm. Woke up a million times over night, thanks indigestion and a baby pushing on my bladder, but then slept until almost 9am, YES! 9am. This afternoon I snuck off for a bath and now I’m eye masked up ready to sleep as soon as the babies hit the hay. I just need to resist the lure of reality tv. Who else is a reality tv junkie? And what’s your poison, tell me I’m not alone 💁🏼♀️ • • • • • #mymirroredmemories #babyknowlesnumberfour #fourthandfinal #secondtrimester #inspirepregnancy #mothershape #pregnancyzone #bumppic #bumpie #stylishbump #babybumplove #pregnancydiary #pregnancy_world #pregnancylife #pregnancydiary #bumpwatch #healthypregnancy #pregnantmama #bumplove #bumplife #expectingababy #babyontheway #preggobelly #pregnantandperfect #babybump #honestmothering #pregnanyselfie #ohheymama #babyfever #womeninreallife
Recently it was Daughters Day; September 25th. Daughters Day originated in India where there’s been a certain stigma attached to being a girl & where female foeticide was a problem especially in rural areas & villages. It was celebrated to erase the stigma where often daughters were seen as a burden on account of cultural practices like giving of dowry but today it’s recognised to celebrate the pure joy one gets from their daughter. I have two daughters, but I also thought I never wanted a daughter & it’s interesting to me as I grow in my role as a mum to girls to reflect on this. I don’t have any specific reasons as to why I wasn’t so keen; maybe it’s because as a daughter myself & one that came with all kinds of problems I know I wasn’t easy to parent & this embedded some deep rooted fear in me. I have two beautiful daughters now I can’t imagine my life without. They are sassy, determined, highly emotional little humans with the most charming little personalities. They are full of love, kindness & compassion & all I want is to nurture them & help them grow into well rounded confident young women. I worry about 'mean girls'. I want them to have a strong sense of self, a healthy body image and self-confidence. I want to encourage their individuality, laying a foundation for their emotional scaffolding. I want them to know that no matter what they may do or what happens to them that they know they can always talk to me & come to me for unconditional support and love. I want to help develop practical life skills, like how to manage money & how to change a tyre. I want them to be emotionally responsible for themselves, to show compassion to others but remember the importance of establishing healthy boundaries & to be able to defend themselves. I want them to have tolerance for other points of view as well as learning how to stand up respectfully for their own beliefs. I want to raise strong, confident, resilient girls. Time will tell but right now I am just doing my best & my best is enough. • • • • • #NationalDaughtersDay
Nap time rituals; child led yoga courtesy of my two big kids 🧘🏼♀️_ I follow their lead and then end our practise with some shirshasana while repeating the below affirmations. I am strong. I am supported. I am flexible. I am open. I am calm. I am peaceful. I am grounded. I am balanced. I am brave. I love practising yoga, especially when pregnant, it elevates my mood, cleanses my spirit, sharpens my mind and overall really helps me connect with my body. It is such a powerful way to relieve anxiety and cope with everyday stresses which I feel are so present in my life. Right now I am still able to practise poses like crow and shirshasana, which for some people are classified as a no-no while pregnant, but I have been doing these since before I was pregnant and have consulted expert yogi’s who agree that as long as I follow my intuition, pay careful attention to all of my needs and take care of myself I am ok to continue. The overall key in any practise is to listen to your body, only you know what feels right or wrong for you in any given moment. My biggest piece of advice whether you’re practising yoga or undertaking any type of physical activity is to listen to your body, stay true to yourself in every moment, be present, pay attention, be kind to yourself, and take deep breaths, and if something doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. Happy Thursday friends ✌🏻 • • • • • #babyknowlesnumberfour #zenmotherhood #fitmoms #fitnessmotivation #fitsporation #igfitmoms #bodymovement #empoweredwomen #womeninreallife #babybody #fitnessmama #fourthandfinal #inspirepregnancy #mothershape #pregnancyzone #bumpie #babybumplove #pregnancydiary #pregnancy_world #pregnancylife #pregnancydiary #bumpwatch #healthypregnancy #pregnantmama #bumplove #bumplife #babyontheway #preggobelly #pregnantandperfect #babybump
When it comes to raising children we all have a common goal; to raise happy & healthy little humans. However, the way we choose to parent our children can be very different, so the “experts” have created categories by which you can classify your parenting style. These range from ‘helicopter’, ‘attachment’, ‘tiger’, ‘free-range’, the list goes on. If you know me you’ll know I’m an advocate for attachment, conscious & free-range parenting, well my version of these anyway. I don’t so much on rules, or more so my expectations are along the lines of manners not actions. For example I place more importance on please & thank you’s than riding a bike or kicking a football inside the house. If I am with my children I will almost always have one of them on my hip, sitting on my lap, or draped across me as I lay down. My children express their need to be near me, touch me constantly & feel the warmth of my body against theirs always & who am I to deny this. After all they did spend 40 weeks listening to my heartbeat & finding comfort in the warmth of my womb, it’s only natural & normal to me that they would still have a need & want for this level of comfort & attachment on the outside. What feels right & natural to me is becoming more connected to my children based on my instincts, so if this is carrying my child more than she walks, so be it. If it is tending to any one of my three children several times a night, so be it. Sure sleep training & getting 8 hours of unbroken sleep a night sounds like heaven but I just can’t do it. Sure I could reason with my child that they need to walk & not be carried everywhere but I just can’t do it. Maybe these things are easier for you, maybe your child is more receptive to these ideas but for me it’s not happening & you know what it’s ok. It’s ok that we‘re different. It‘s ok that we choose to parent differently. No one is saying that either way is right or wrong. At the end of the day I’m an advocate for a mother & a child doing what’s best for them, because what’s best for the mother & child is what’s best for society. There are a lot of excellent ways to raise children & it isn’t the details that matter – it’s the love 🧡

Birthday girl! Our sweet and sassy little Tabby cat. Four going on fourteen, fiercely independent yet still as clingy as you were at four months old. You keep us on our toes but keep it consistent with your love, kindness and compassion. You love to practise yoga. Your favourite colour is pink. Your best friend is Arabella. You want to be Minnie Mouse when you grow up and your favourite food is avocado. The funniest thing you’ve said this year is “I can’t wait to be a mum because then I can drink wine and coffee, and breastfeed babies”. You are one of a kind darling girl, you make life so special and we are all so lucky to be doing ours with you by our side. Keep being you beautiful girl, you’re a shining star in this world and we can’t wait to see the places you go. Happy birthday Tabitha 💖
My girlfriend @katiemcrenshaw has an amazing podcast called @ifimbeinghonestpodcast & I just finished listening to the first episode of season 2. It’s spoken by @stevendachille who lost his wife Alexis to suicide as a result of PPD 6 weeks after she gave birth to their first child. It was one of the most touching, emotionally raw episodes I‘ve listened to & left me in tears. I can’t stop thinking about it, part of the reason is this could’ve been me. This photo ☝🏻this is a mother who has come so far. So far from the days of turmoil experienced after the birth of my first child; days where I felt out of control & like my life had been turned upside down. So much of what Steven recounts about Alexis reminds me of myself as a first-time mum; the type A personally, perfectionism, the way her life was filled with so much joy but also so much angst with the arrival of their child, how she was losing herself, desperately trying to do her best but feeling like a constant failure, the way she was unable to soothe her child feeling like she just wasn’t cut out for motherhood. The difference between Alexis & I is that when I asked for help, when I recognised I needed someone to step in, help was there. I wasn’t at a point of wanting to end my own life, I didn’t want to harm myself or my child, but I was diagnosed with postpartum anxiety, definitely mentally unwell & without access to better mental health care who knows where I might’ve ended up. This could be any number of women. But what it comes down to is that I had access to better mental health care, something every human being on this earth is entitled. I am the women I am today because of the access I had to better mental health care. I‘m here & confident in my role as a mother because of the access I had to better mental health care. My #wishforwomen is that no matter where you live, your financial situation or your social status, you have access to better mental health care ❤️_ To Steven, I know so many people have said this to you before, but what you are doing is amazing. You are a champion for this cause & it’s so appreciated. I‘ve so much respect & admiration for you. Keep doing what you’re doing.
