For those of you wondering about the different versions of the Disaster Transport, here's a brief history: After the wildly successful debut of the Hoof fuzz, the EarthQuaker Devices lineup quickly expanded into more experimental territory with the Hummingbird tremolo. Next came the original Disaster Transport delay, one of the earliest delay offerings from a so-called “boutique” manufacturer. Originally introduced in 2007, the Disaster Transport in its earliest form was a five knob, two footswitch analog-voiced digital delay. It was revised in 2010 to the six knob version that is more widely known. The Disaster Transport expanded into a series with the launch of the Disaster Transport JR in 2010 and the Disaster Transport SR in 2013. The Disaster Transport Legacy Reissue is a faithful recreation of the original version that launched over 15 years ago, albeit with some modern upgrades - it features more control over the modulation and an improved delay line. To hear it in action, head over to earthquakerdevices.com, or check it out at an EQD dealer near you.

Emily Retsas, bassist for Phoebe Bridgers, sits down with EQD to check out our new Aurelius Tri-Voice Chorus! In this demo Emily gives us nice mellow vibes, showcasing the versatility of chorus sounds you can get between the 3 modes. We love the warbly, gritty tone she gets using an ebow in the Rotary mode paired with the Special Cranker, jamming along to some dusty ambient tracks from a vintage Marantz cassette player. Thanks @emilyretsas for taking time out from your busy tour schedule to hang with us! Full demo link in bio. Hello EarthQuakers! President and Product Designer Jamie Stillman is back with another video manual, this time for the Disaster Transport Modulated Delay Machine, the newest addition to our Legacy Reissue Series! The original Disaster Transport was one of the earliest delay offerings from a boutique manufacturer. Introduced in 2007, the Disaster Transport expanded into a series with the launch of an updated Disaster Transport and the Disaster Transport JR in 2010 and the Disaster Transport SR in 2013.   Jamie shares that the KMD Analog Delay was his favorite delay pedal at the time he was designing the original Disaster Transport and how it was used as inspiration when creating this pedal. However, adding modulation was one key feature that was important for him to include in the design to make it a bit more interesting. For this reissue, Jamie has redesigned the delay line to reduce the noise floor and improve the quality of the delay. He boosted the output with a cleaner mixing section; it’s now filtered to sound more like an analog delay than any of the previous versions. It sits perfectly in the background with an evolved ambiance, but can also be dialed in for the dramatic effect of your choosing. The analog-voiced digital delay has also been upgraded with a switch to “bend” or “stretch” the modulation waveform and a third rate range has been added to control the speed of the modulation. The Disaster Transport also retains a designated footswitch to turn on and off the modulation.   We hope you enjoy this updated take on the OG EQD delay! Link in bio. Josh Kolenc, Systems Administrator at EQD is here to show you just how well the Erica Synths Perkons HD-01 Synthesizer pairs with effects pedals! The Perkons HD-01 is a great instrument to pair with pedals thanks to its dedicated external effects sends on each individual voice and on the master section. In this patch, Josh has Voice 1 (kick drum) running through White Light Overdrive, and Voice 3 (main “plucky” synth line) running through the Aurelius Chorus and Dispatch Master Reverb/Delay. Special thanks to @ericasynths for the opportunity to experiment with the Perkons!

EQD OG Jamie Stillman vibing with the Disaster Transport Legacy Reissue. Set the Mod Speed toggle to Fast to go from a rapid chorus to an intense vibrato. Switch between “Bend” and “Stretch” settings with the Mod Mode Toggle. Bend offers a subtler vibe closer to a traditional chorus sound, while the new Stretch option gives you loads of pitch-stretching modulation to run wild with. Use your modulation rates to set your tempo, so you can strum or pluck to the climbs and drop-offs to match your riffs. The possibilities are endless. Limited to 3,500 units worldwide. DISASTER TRANSPORT LEGACY REISSUE! An updated take on the OG EQD delay. The original Disaster Transport was one of the earliest delay offerings from a so-called “boutique” manufacturer. Introduced in 2007 (and revised in 2010), the Disaster Transport expanded into a series with the launch of the Disaster Transport JR in 2010 and the Disaster Transport SR in 2013. For this reissue, Tinkerer-in-Chief @jamiestillman couldn't leave well enough alone and has redesigned the delay line to reduce the noise floor and improve the quality of the delay. He boosted the output with a cleaner mixing section; it’s now filtered to sound more like an analog delay than any of the previous versions. It sits perfectly in the background with an evolved ambiance, but can also be dialed in for the dramatic effect of your choosing. A new Mod Mode switch has been added that allows you to "bend" or "stretch" the modulation wave. And the new Mod Speed switch offers three rates of modulation, from bizarrely animated gradual climbs and steep drop offs to rapid chorus and intense vibrato. The Disaster Transport Legacy Reissue is priced at $219 USD and is limited to 3,500 units. It's available now at EarthQuaker Devices dealers worldwide. Link in bio
