It’s hard to believe we’re already here 🫶🏽 2/3 down, 1/3 to go before we meet another joy of lives The second trimester brought so much: • relief of making it past the first trimester • more energy • most first trimester symptoms went away (main symptoms were headaches and low energy) • 20 week ultrasound to see baby boy • adventures with our first born, Grant • a much needed vacation to Destin, FL • strengthened faith in the Lord our God • further prioritizing of family > everything else The major themes of the second trimester were RELIEF and GRATITUDE. After experiencing losses prior to this pregnancy, making it through the first 12 weeks and seeing that little yet strong heartbeat at the 12 week ultrasound was the biggest sigh of relief I have ever let out in my life, followed by the deepest thanks to God for blessing us with this pregnancy. None of this would be possible without Him and, as we make it through this last trimester, I continue to pray for protection and blessing over us to make it through a healthy, full term pregnancy and smooth delivery. Amen 🙏🏽 #thirdtrimester #pregnancy #pregnancyreels #thirdtrimesterfeels #healthypregnancy #secondpregnancy
Gluten free buffalo chicken pasta bake 👍🏽 If you have leftover chicken, gluten free pasta, Buffalo sauce, and cheese, you’ve got dinner done. I made this to use up some shredded chicken we had and I will be making this again and again. Also, you can definitely eyeball this recipe, which is what I did, and taste along the way to make sure it has the flavor you want. Ingredients • 1 lb shredded chicken • 1/2 cup uncooked gluten free pasta • 1/4 cup buffalo sauce (add more or less depending on how spicy you want it) • 4 oz cream cheese, softened • 3 tbsp ranch dressing • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and lightly oil a baking dish with olive oil. Cook pasta according to instructions on box. Drain pasta and place in bowl. Add chicken, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, ranch dressing, and 3/4 cup of shredded cheese and mix well. Place mixture in prepared baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Cover with foil and bake for 15 mins. Remove foil and broil on high for 3 mins or until golden brown. Enjoy! #buffalochicken #glutenfree #glutenfreerecipes #easydinnerrecipe #quickdinner

If you don’t know what secondary subfertility is, you’re not alone. I didn’t know either until we experienced it ourselves. It’s when a couple struggles to conceive or carry a pregnancy to full-term after already having one or more children. The rate of secondary subfertility is about 11%, similar to primary subfertility. If you’re anything like me, you may think if you have one baby without issue that conceiving another will be a piece of a cake. We were shocked and devastated when this wasn’t the case. Always looking for solutions, I researched what could cause our situation and what we can do. As the mother conceiving, it is important to replenish yourself postpartum. Having a child is very depleting on the body, in both prenatal and postnatal. Everyone’s circumstances are different and there are things we can do to help support our bodies like adequate sleep, nutrient-dense foods, hydration, and movement to list some off. Check out my two reels about what I did that helped us on our journey to conceiving our second baby. Did you know this about secondary subfertility? Let me know in the comments. *Using the term subfertility instead of inferiority because the actual rates of infertility are super small, although infertility is commonly used for anyone struggling to conceive no matter the diagnosis but that can be a whole other reel 💀 #ttc #ttcjourney #pregnancyafterloss #pregnancy #fertility #infertility #subfertility
Birthday trip to Sandestin, FL with a stop in Baton Rouge. ☀️ This vacation was so needed. I hadn’t put my feet in ocean water in over a year, and having grown up less than a 5 minute walk from the ocean, a year was way too long. We made the 9ish hour drive to Sandestin, FL and would absolutely do it again. We had an amazing stay at the @hiltonsandestin, which had everything we needed. The beach was stunning with powder sand and crystal clear water. The main thing we wanted was for Grant to have a great time and believe me when I tell you this boy was made for the beach life. More beach trips in our future 🏝️ #vacation #beachvacation #pregnancy #pregnancytravel #sandestin #destin #miramarbeach #pregnancylife
Comment “SHOP” for a DM with the link to the Tripp Trapp high chair. Don’t get me wrong. I love Lalo products. 😊 The Nordstrom sale got me with the Tripp Trapp. 😂 #baby #babyproducts #secondpregnancy #secondbaby #productreview #babyproductreview #highchair
Making this dinner brought me so much joy. After starting, the kitchen immediately smelled like my childhood. I’m always intimidated by making Mami’s (my mom) Dominican meals. She made it look so easy and every time I’ve made them it takes me hours. The only way I’ll get better is by practicing them more often. For the record, this still took me nearly two hours from start to finish 💀 #homecooking #dominicanfood #dominicana #holistichealth #healthyfood #healthypregnancy #pregnancy

IT’S A…. Despite the “surprised” look on my face, we already knew the gender before this popper went off. I was hoping my reaction would get Grant excited for the popper. 😂 #genderreveal #pregnancy #secondpregnancy #pregnancyafterloss #pregnancyannouncement
PART TWO: This part two is more about what I put in my body. ✨ The TTC journey can be super overwhelming so I don’t want to overwhelm you with this list. And I didn’t want to leave anything out (although I probably am). Our bodies need us to provide them with the proper nutrition and support to feel safe to create life. During postpartum, I was in survival mode and even though I was generally eating healthy, there were pockets where I was doing a disservice to my body. My body got to a point where my nutrition alone couldn’t make up for the voids so I began working on other areas to improve like my sleep and better managing stress. Here are some of the supplements I took while improving my fertility (I took these under the approval and support of my healthcare providers. Please consult your provider before taking these.): • Regenerzyme heart (prenatal) • Fish oil • Antioxidant blend • NAC • L-arginine • Myoinositol • Magnesium • Vitamin D + K2 • Artichoke extract • Chinese herbs • Quinton minerals #ttc #ttcjourney #pregnancy #pregnancylife #holistichealth #holistichealing #pregnancyafterloss #ttcafterloss
PART ONE: Our journey to this pregnancy was not as straight-forward as our first. We experienced some devastating situations and were honestly blindsided by them. This list might seem long/overwhelming. But this didn’t all happen in one day. This was over the course of several months. When we were preparing for this pregnancy, I made a promise to myself that I would seek as much support as possible by forming my own “fertility team”. I used both eastern and western medicine to better inform me and support my body to improve my fertility. Also, I sought out my own information from holistic experts I could learn from from a distance. Stay tuned for part two… #ttc #ttcjourney #pregnancy #pregnancylife #holistichealth #holistichealing #holisticpregnancy #ttcafterloss #pregnancyafterloss
