Just wrapped an amazing shoot around the north of Svalbard. We got to see and photograph the first autumn snow blanket the Arctic landscape. So nice to be back in winter conditions! Thanks as always to @66north for keeping me warm for almost a decade of adventures. This was my first winter test of our collaboration beanie, it performed its head warming duties very well 👌🏼 📷 @hannes_becker
The Polar Bear. From roaming through freshly fallen snow to a swim in pristine Arctic waters in search of whale bones to nibble on from a nearby carcass, witnessing moments like this one on the northern shores of Svalbard bring such a deep appreciation for the wildlife that call the Arctic home. Other than the sounds of our camera shutters, these moments are rather silent. If you take a second to zone in on the sounds, you can hear the steps, breaths and splashes in the distance. Shot on the Canon R5C and RF 400mm 2.8 + 2x extender. #arctic #polarbear

Arctic foxes of Alkefjellet. We came across a den site at the base of the bird cliffs and noticed two Arctic foxes running all around the fresh snow covered slopes before nestling back under the rock. It was quite impressive to see the cliffs towering above. Can you spot the fox den? #arctic #wildlife
A glacial world. Some scenes from a very frozen morning on the edge of the Austfonna ice cap. Just days after the glacial melt waterfalls stopped flowing for the season, we found the flow channels to be frozen solid with vivid blue ice.
Floating with the ice. Up close to the outlet glaciers along the northwest coast of Svalbard. A fragile landscape with size and scale that is hard to put into words.
Incredible Arctic encounters. High up in the north of Svalbard, we observed this beautiful male polar bear as he walked up on this rock along the shoreline. He was searching for a piece of a whale carcass that had sunk nearby, which he later jumped in to find. One of those evenings I’ll never forget. #arctic #polarbear #svalbard
Autumn views from Longyearbyen. First snow and incredible arctic light hitting the slopes of Hiorthfjellet. #svalbard
Back in Svalbard in search of Autumn light and the first snow of the season ❄️ Here’s an incredible moment we experienced while observing a young male and female polar bear duo a few years ago in Isfjorden, captured at 1000mm. #svalbard #polarbear

I made my own beanie! Now available @66north both online and in their stores. Always find it funny that my most asked question is about my beanie, so I’m stoked to finally have an answer to that. This one has had a lot of work behind it with the @66north design team to nail the fit and materials 🤘🏼 We named the beanie after my favourite mountain in #Iceland, the volcanic beauty Mælifell. Cheers to the beanie life! Video by @davidgodi
