“AMELIA, HOW DO I TRANSFORM MY BODY?” Real talk. ➡️You’ll transform your body when you transform your MIND. Often times people want to start the process of a transformation BUT they WONT and instead will make excuses like “I don’t have time” or “my gym is closed”! You have to push through that barrier. You have to realize that it’s GOING to take time for you and it’s NOT going to be easy but it IS possible with the right mind set. Whether you are working overtime at your job or are a single momma of 4, if you want it bad enough...you’ll make it a PRIORITY! There are SIX weeks between the photo on the left and the photo on the right. This was last year on my WBFF competition prep and let me tell you...IT WASNT EASY! But I wanted it THAT bad. ➡️What did I do different? MINDSET. I became OBSESSED with growth. It was like a game to me and I wanted to WIN. And guess what? I DID WIN. I went pro at that show I was prepping for. Ask yourself, “how bad do i want it?” Now let ME ask you: Do you want the same body that you have now, forever? OR... ➡️IF YOU HAVE ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, or A LOT of stress in your life...THIS IS FOR YOU SO LISTEN UP⬇️ 💪🏼In all honesty, I look the way I do because I’ll admit... I’m a high anxiety person and I learned how to manipulate my body through my anxious thoughts and worries. ❤️I’ll give myself the benefit of the doubt because I’ve been an athlete since a very young age and have always had physical activity in my life BUT when I was 20 years old and really started experimenting with the gym, I fell in love with how it made me FEEL! -CORTISOL is known as the “stress” hormone and with too much of it, it will cause you stress and worry. -When you workout and eat right, it reduces this stress hormone and levels it out which will cause you to feel RIGHT. -Working out reduces my anxiety because it drops my cortisol levels and I KNOW that if I didn’t workout, my cortisol levels would be extremely HIGH which would make my anxiety extremely HIGH as well! ❤️SO going back to working out...I then fell in love with how it made me LOOK because let me tell you, those results are like a drug! Once you get to the point where you start consistently seeing results...YOU WONT WANT TO STOP! So let me ask you this... ➡️What are YOU personally doing to keep your cortisol levels balanced out in YOUR BODY? ➡️Just like Rome wasn’t built in a day, our body’s aren’t built over night. ➡️If you only knew how much it means to me that you are following and supporting my crazy journey. If you are reading this right now, please don’t stop because I have a few words I want to say:⁣ ⁣ ➡️Your time and energy toward following my life means more than you know. If only you knew how lost I’ve been, how many mistakes I’ve made, how many times I’ve fallen down, how many obstacles I’ve had to face, or how many times I’ve wanted to quit but chose to keep going. If only you truly knew my backstory, and the things that have broken me down, and the situations I’ve been faced with or the lack of confidence and self worth that I’ve had in myself.⁣ ⁣ ➡️If you knew how much it makes my day with the people that randomly approach me in the gym or on the street to tell me that I’m an inspiration and a gift from god with the discipline and drive to get the body that I walk in daily. If you only knew.🙏🏼⁣ ⁣ ➡️ I promise you I’ll never stop learning, growing, and figuring things out. I’ll never quit this beautiful passion I have for what I do and I’ll never stop walking in faith and rising to the top. There is so much i want to share with the world and this is only the beginning. ➡️EMOTIONAL EATING IS A REAL PROBLEM AND I WAS GUILTY OF IT! ➡️If you are someone that gets stressed out and wants to eat all of the junk food to cope with that stress, LISTEN UP. I’ve been in your shoes and I know the pain of over eating to manage my stress levels. This kind of disordered eating impacts millions of people and I’m here to tell you that there is a way out! ➡️You must be STRONGER than your temptations. There is that little voice in your head when you are stressed out that will tell you “it’s okay to eat this ice cream, it will help calm you down!” ❌WRONG! ➡️Eating that ice cream will increase your Cortisol levels in the body which will then cause your body even more stress both physically AND mentally! ➡️A GREAT alternative to managing that emotional eating problem is EXERCISE. -Jogging -Walking -Weight lifting I know this is easier said than done but if you are someone who is guilty of emotional eating then you are also someone who has been seeking weight loss, am I right? -CHOOSE YOUR BATTLES💪🏼 Next time you get stressed out and have that little voice in your head telling you to go grab your favorite candy bar and indulge, I encourage you think twice because... ❤️your actions TODAY will impact your TOMORROW!

➡️I DID ONE GYMNASTICS MEET AND FAILED MISERABLY 💪🏼For real though. I get asked on a daily if I was a gymnast growing up. The answer is YES but then I quit when I was in 10th grade after doing one meet and getting so embarrassed at how badly I failed by falling off the beam flat on my back during my beam routine😝. I didn’t get good at handstands because I was a gymnast. In fact, I’ve only been doing handstands like this for about a year now. It was something that I just worked extremely hard at and once I started seeing progress, it became addicting. I worked at it a little bit every single day and here we are a year later! 💪🏼Just like anything, PROGRESS MIGHT NOT HAPPEN OVER NIGHT. But when you are consistent with your actions and work at it EVERY DAY, I promise you’ll see results. So whatever type of fitness journey you are on, you need to understand that ❤️ITS GONNA TAKE TIME ❤️YOU WILL HAVE HARD DAYS ❤️YOU WONT ALWAYS FEEL GOOD But it’s about showing up and implementing your work.
