I recently had a unique opportunity to visit the CBS Morning studio as part of Paramount’s SPARK month and meet the iconic anchors of the show - Nate Burleson, Gayle King, and Tony Dokoupil as well as the executive producer Shawna Thomas. It was a special experience filled with thought provoking conversations and behind-the-scenes glimpses 📸 ⠀ Throughout my visit, it was clear that Nate, Gayle, and Tony shared a genuine camaraderie and mutual respect for each other. Their chemistry on screen translated seamlessly into their interactions off screen. They made me feel like a valued guest, taking time to answer questions, sharing stories from their life, and even cracking a few jokes along the way!🎤 When I asked Nate about his advice for younger generation, he highlighted the importance of diversifying our interests. I agree with him - we often forget about what makes our heart spark! So it was a valuable reminder💫 ⠀ I was also surprised by the orchestration involved in successfully producing a news show of this caliber! For example, did you know that Gayle's day starts slightly past 3AM each morning?! ⏰ ⠀ This visit reminded me of the power of journalism to inform and unite. 🚴On May 7th, I participated in the Five Boro Bike Tour, which was a dream ride of mine for years! 🗺️ The 40-mile route took us through all five of New York’s boroughs and across five major bridges! I was filled with excitement and anticipation, eager to take in all the sights and sounds of the city on two wheels, to push myself physically and mentally, and be surrounded by other cycling enthusiasts! 🌟 The significance of the 45th anniversary of this iconic ride cannot be understated.
