Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Tayla @taylasbeautycorner

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m from NZ, i have just finished getting my NCEA Level 2 which is a really big deal as that can lead into many jobs! I am about to start a course to become a makeup artist so i can further my talent and it will help in my long term plan of getting into special effects makeup ! I hope to work for WETA Workshop one day and to own a business. The main focus for my business will be beauty related and to encourage people to confident about themselves.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

my main topics of interest (apart from Harry Potter !!! ) is make up. I love how it gives me confidence and enchances my natural beauty. I mainly post makeup looks i have created or recreated, nail art, fashion and have just started posting pictures using body paint type looks !

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I tried not to be the same as everyone elses in the beauty world on instagram by having a similar so i chose to have mine referencing my beauty corner! This was to signify that its my space and i can show my talent to the world !

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

LINE camera to edit, i slight brighten my pictures and make them look atleast 4% smoother than the original. Sometimes i use their cool filters to give off certain effects!! I then use whitagram to add a white boarder !

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

@shaaanxo is my #1 inspiration!! She is a fellow Kiwi and from day one has been my inspiration to show my talent and to have a positive approach to it all !

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Benefit cosmetics Hoola bronzer !! It’s one of the best products i have ever tried ! Works for many skin tones !

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

To express my love of makeup and to give people confidence. As again they are two important factors for when i hope to have my own business one day !

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Think outside the box, originality, people like difference! Those are important because it attracts people’s interest to the brand !

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

You have to give credit to those you got ideas from, always try to put your own twist on things!

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I have never experienced this before, however i would absolutely love it ! I would love to help companies expand by letting my followers know how good their products are and to help get them to try them out themselves !
