Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: schanae jellick @peyotemod

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am originally from Australia but last year I fell in love with a french guy – we hit it off so quickly that we have been travelling together ever since. This year so far we have done 8 countries!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post about fashion and my hectic lifestyle on the road mostly. Im also a photographer so im regularly putting together editorials in beautiful and unique locations

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My nickname growing up was Peyote (like the psychedelic cactus) and I have been modelling since age 12… Peyote was already taken so I combined the two together and voila! Peyotemod was born

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

VSCO & Enlight. I have about 3 filters I regularly use. Enlight I use to draw and censor my images where its appropriate

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I always check @sticks_and_stones_agency for their latest posts as this inspires my photography style. Im lucky enough to have modelled for this blog a few times also and personally know the woman behind it all. I also love @thenativefox

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I think just pushing your boundaries! Sometimes I go to shoot something and it doesnt go anywhere near to plan so I end up experimenting – thats always my best work in the end.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The fact it gives me the ability to create my own and travel. I always loved modelling but having control over the character and content im creating is awesome

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Dont look at what everyone else is doing, just do what feels right and true to you

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Its harder to get noticed now and a lot of people just try to mimic everyone else, this is obviously not the way to stand out from the crowd. Be truthful to who you are because its easier that way and also more genuine, the followers notice trust me

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Again just the fact I get a bit of control over what content I am creating but also its exciting to help brands launch or enter a new identity.. I love the fact you can take something and surprise them with the way you present it
